Based on my research for the geographical nexus (my wild guess was Hollywood Blvd., but my bad), I am going to assume it's NYC (courtesy of James Dean), and the answer is of course yes (just like with Hollywood Blvd., where I got in trouble a few times when I was a punk).

Yup I actually have. Was not happy with the route btw. While I love many geographic features of the West I dislike barren deserts. Some of it was interesting though.

Yes, and in particular that most horrible overcrowded tourist trap known as Gatlinburg.

Garfield County, Utah, and in particular that most magical place known as Boulder, Utah (among other things, the darkest spot in the lower 48 (as in the least light pollution).

I was literally responding to this before the others posted so I'm going to do it anyway, rules be damned!

Yes, I've been to Boulder UT - But only briefly with a friend who was picking up some tools from a guy he knew there (my friend lived in Moab for a time, and I was visiting). We spent the next 2 days seeing the beauties of Canyonlands and Arches Ntl Park as well.

One of the charms of Boulder is the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch, down a dirt road about 3 miles in this beautiful valley, with its hippie-ish staff, who share their weed with you, as you chat with them during off hours. I get this impression that Boulder is this cultural island, surrounded by a sea of devout LDS territory.

A couple bought the ranch a few years back, and fixed it up some, not to make money, but to save the land from a subdivision tract map.  They did it for love, and not money, and I suspect make little, or lose money, with their operation. They also have a chef who comes in the evening, to cook really good dinners for everybody, maybe 10 folks, who all sit on the veranda, and get to know each other during the meal.
