Well, which states are largely open to globalization and at least somewhat libertarian on most domestic issues?

I honestly, really don't know. I guess until recent years Massachusetts wouldn't have been a bad fit all things considered. Maybe Pennsylvania?

South Florida politics seem to be my cup of tea. That area tends to be more socially moderate/liberal, so my social views would fit in better there then in some other areas. I'd particularly be pretty vocal on LGBT advocacy - especially on supporting non-housing discrimination protections and on promoting ENDA. I'd also be very active in Pro-Life circles.

South Florida's Cuban Community would likely be receptive to my views on Cuban and foreign policy issues. I'm also keen on reaching out to the Venezuelan community - which has been growing in SoFLA.

South Florida's Jewish Community would, obviously, be a big part of my base here.  Pro-Israel GOP Jews and Pro-Israel new democrat-style liberals would particularly make up a big part my Jewish support. Promoting Jewish unity on a communal level and supporting Jewish charities would also be a big part of my political persona.

My views on immigration are much less extreme then the national GOP's as well and thus would help me fit in more in an area like South Florida.

My mainstream right-wing/libertarian economic views shouldn't be an issue here but I'm sure I'll have to have a more specific education plan ready to promote in this area.

Portland metropolitan area - The politics here are far more social democrat than other democratic party strongholds on economic issues. I have a progressive viewpoint on many issues which actually contrasts with the social liberal and economic centrist focus of Cali dems. And that fits well with the large progressive base in the Portland metro area.

Either that or Vermont, Minneapolis.

Probably just about anywhere on the West Coast, or maybe the Democratic Party in places like Colorado, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

I'd give the same answer, but replacing Massachusetts with California and Pennsylvania with Vermont.

Iowa, Kansas (not Brownback though), Nebraska. States where the GOP is usually pretty level headed and is very pro ag. Socially moderate to center right  and fiscally conservative.

Some state full of liberal war hawks?

I'd do better in the more hawkish South but I'd lose dovish states in the north. So this:

287-251
