i think i'd rather live in wisconsin. seems like a better fit for me climate and culture wise. probably a toss up as to affordability. although my boyfriend is living in virginia right now.

I think you'll find more variation within these states than between them in terms of affordability. The cheapest places within both states are by national standards, very cheap, as long as you have land to live on and a small amount of income that doesn't depend on local employment.

Vriginia, because I'd much rather have access to the coast and mountains and major cities.

I'm probably being biased as I'm stationed in southeastern Virginia, but I choose Virginia because it has a warmer climate and it's landscape is more beautiful.

I've met several politicians in the state, including Terry McAuliffe.

Know tons of people from Virginia (both NoVA and SoVA), actually don't know anyone from Wisconsin, so obviously the former.

Virginia might just be my favorite non-Oregon state.

The military industrial complex doesn't totally own Wisconsin, so it.

LOL, okay, BRTD. Smiley

Anyway, after my recent vacation in Door County this past June, I want to come here to even more enthusiastically say Wisconsin.  Other than the God-awful sports teams and too cold of winters, I love that state.

I say this as somebody who has, in fact, been to Door County too.

As RINO Tom has said, Door County is great, but the rest of WI definitely erases the benefit it provides to the state haha

Virginia - I lived in NOVA for a little bit, and still currently live pretty close to the Potomac River. Great place to live, in my opinion. This is irrespective of party/national politics.

I've never been to Wisconsin though

Obviously Wisconsin, but Virginia is one of my favorite states, probably in the top 5.
