Great, no problem. Now, if anyone wants to declare candidacy for Caucus chair, you've got 9 more hours. If no one declares then I guess I'll just be the acting chair. Declarations for floor leader are also open, so if you really want to run against me... lol

Yeah this is BULLSH!T. Speaker is supposed to be a non-partisan position, given to who can best run the Chamber according to the rules, not some partisan agenda. SMFH!

Those are some serious suppression tactics. Some people might have other priorities or concerns besides just the will of the caucus.

Everyone in the caucus agreed to those rules. I agree that Section 1(d) might look bad, but I personally wouldn't try to enforce it. I'm not for suppressing dissent within the caucus, and I do regret the wording in that Section.
Those are some serious suppression tactics. Some people might have other priorities or concerns besides just the will of the caucus.
If both other people agree, the person remains in the caucus, and I personally would not want to kick someone out if they don't vote a certain way, and I think the other Delegate would also be willing to do that. But since you guys both think I'm personally trying to force everyone to get behind *me*, which I do not intend to do,

Chairwoman fhtagn, I move to amend the rules by striking rule 1(d).

Good lord.

Edit: Just for the record, the intended wording was

I was thinking backwards, I guess. On second thought, that rule would be redundant with rule 1(c), so that's why I think 1(d) should be completely removed.

I hereby resign as Chamber Floor Leader, and move to interpret rule 2(h) to allow the first-joined member to call an election for the position.

(there is precedent that since there are only three members, if a motion is seconded it automatically is adopted, so someone second this and we can do a vote)

Higher-up Laborites would rather see fhtagn as Speaker after the whole vote-disqualifying debacle. I don't want to hold on to the CFL position if I'm not going to be Speaker and if the party consensus wants something different.

48 hours to declare your candidacy for Chamber Floor Leader.
