Serious question for the historians here: has there ever before been such a clown show in Congress over a major piece of legislation?

I do wonder if McConnell cares about his legacy at all. He's making Reid look like Dole(In my opinion, Dole was a strong majority leader).

CSPAN 2 is saying that McConnell will be asking to begin debate on the AHCA (house version).

That means Murkowski is a probable no unless McConnell sufficiently bribed her.

Trump at a Boy Scouts speech in WV...what a bunch of morons. Premiums will jump by 300% in WV under his sh**t health care bill

Confirmed stances I've seen are:

No: Collins (though watch her if they promise a vote on Cassidy-Collins bill)
Yes: Cruz, Hoeven, Cassidy

From what I've read, it does appear that Murkowski is the next most likely No vote.

McCain has not really been considered to be a definite yes vote. Imagine McConnell's anger if he returns, only to vote no.

Apparently McCain is a firm yes on the MTP so....

You guys really have to wake up...the Republican party is not rational anymore. The MTP will pass, McTurtle will bribe off the remaining Senators and that'll be the end of the ACA. It's obvious to anyone who subscribes to realism what's going on here. Everyone keeps underestimating Trump and the GOP. The fact that clowns like Capito, Heller, Portman, etc... havent released any statements should tell you how this is going to end.

I hope those clowns surprise you tomorrow.

It is funny how you talk about reality when you are the one who flips every five minute about the bill passing or failing.

I dont think he'd be able to get enough senators to show up.

MotionToProceed =/= Passing healthcare bill

Even if the senate succeeds in starting debate, its not happening tomorrow.

Do you really they'd be flying McCain back to DC if his vote didn't mean the difference in passing or failing?

Heller and Collins will vote no, everyone else will be bought off, Pence will break the tie, the House will pass as is (even if they get rid of Planned Parenthood defunding), Trump will sign, the insurance market will collapse, millions will lose coverage, tens of thousands will die, and all the Trump supporters who rely on Obamacare will just blame Democrats anyway somehow.

I hope everyone who for whatever reason failed to vote for Hillary on 11/8 is happy. (Who am I kidding - they are.)

Also John McCain has to hold the record for the world's biggest cuck. Trump mocks him and says he's not a war hero, and now McCain's going to put his cancer treatment on hold to fly back to DC and bail out his horrible health care bill.

But nothing is passing tomorrow. Its just a motion to proceed. Getting 50 votes to pass healthcare reform is going to be alot harder than getting 50 votes to proceed with debate.

Jesus christ, people.

They aren't voting on a bill tomorrow, it is MTP.

We all know that there will be some time for debate and grandstanding before the votes on the bill. You're not informing us of anything.

The bill is going to pass. McConnell wouldn't go through all this theater only to have the repeal effort fail.
