TL;DR: Two giant insurance companies say that Cruz Amendment "is unworkable in any form" and will lead to "widespread termination of coverage."

The insurance companies don't even want what the Republicans are offering here.

The doctors lobby: No.
The hospitals lobby: No.
The AARP (the largest advocacy group in America): No.
The overwhelming majority of Americans and Nevadans: No.
The f**king insurance companies this bill is supposed to benefit: No.

Does everyone really think Heller would be primaried if he votes no? That seems kinda far fetched. At least he's much more likely to lose in the general if he votes yes.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if, a year from now, a large percentage of the electorate won't even be able to correctly answer a poll question on whether Obamacare has been repealed or not.

Yeah, weren't there polls back in like 2014 saying that a majority (or significant chunk) of Republicans thought Obamacare had already been repealed?

Well 30% of the country thought Obama was a Muslim terrorist, and 30% of the country now thinks that Russians changed the results of the election.

Literally changed votes, or changed the outcome of the election? The CIA agrees with the latter.

(I know this is old, but...)

The CIA also thought there were WMDs in Iraq.

I think 60% believe Russia changed the outcome (between 10-25% don't care or not that much) and 30% believe the votes were actually  changed.

Go on Mike Pence's twitter...its like an alternate reality with sociopathic levels of lying

I have read in various sites some of what Pence is saying out there.
It is beyond imagination. How TrumpCare (more like TrumpDeath) Insurance will help (not hurt) so many on Medicaid. Complete Hogwash !
Sounds like stuff some "English" dude would say.

Wait, is Mike Pence seriously trying to say that this bill is better for people with preexisting conditions/disabilities/etc.??

I mean, the only argument that could be made is "Well, if you've hit the genetic lottery and are a totally healthy middle-class-or-higher young man, your premium may go down for now and haha screw everyone else!" (And hope that nothing changes about your health in the future to put you in the expensive risky pool.)

As has been mentioned, Heller is probably the most important Senator right now. Other Senators are probably waiting for him to come out for or against the MTP, and that passing makes the BCRA's chances go way up (perhaps not enough to actually pass, but definitely much closer to that end result). If Heller says he will vote Yes, other "undecided" Senators may do the same (though we could get lucky with Murkowski, Portman, Lee, etc.). However, Heller's position will most likely be dependent on how strongly Gov. Sandoval comes out against this. Therefore, IMO Brian Sandoval is the single most important person in determining whether this gets killed.

It's not enough though for him to just be against it; his opposition needs to be forceful enough that Heller has no choice but to announce his intent to vote against the MTP. This Washington Post article helps explain the situation, and gives this key paragraph:

This is a good start, but Heller's going to need stronger language in Sandoval's statement so he can have something big to defend himself.

I would not take it for granted that the supposed "indecision" by Heller or anyone else is genuine.  Some of them may have already made up their minds to vote yes or no, but just don't want to be the ones to say it publicly, for political reasons.

If there really are 10 senators who want to vote no but are too chicken to say so unless the bill is already dead, and will vote Yes if Heller never kills it, all I can say is "wow, what a bunch of cucks."

McCain out for surgery on his eye next week. So the bill is at 49 yes, 50 no, assuming Heller is a yea. Meaning no votes can really proceed until McCain is back.

Trump can't get his bill passed now that McCain has been captured by the surgeons. Sad!

So basically, no vote this week if McCain is indeed MIA.

A GOP senator being sideline with a medical emergency the week before they tried to take away insurance from millions of Americans is poetic justice.

God has one hell of a sense of humor.

The bolded part seems like a big assumption.  One or more of them might be planning to vote no regardless.  They just would prefer that someone else is the first one to announce their "no" vote, because it means that they're less of a target.

Don't know if his was mentioned here, but McCain is going to have a surgery and be unable to get to the Capitol and vote for a while, which would prevent passage since the margin for error is literally zero.

EDIT: this was literally like five posts ago lol

Is anyone else noticing the irony of how many of the delays in repealing the ACA are being caused by Republican members of congress requiring medical care?

The longer the bill is delayed, the more of a chance that Senators will be pressured to vote NO.
