The senate stands adjourned until 10 AM.

At 2:15 p.m, the Senate will VOTE in relation to McConnell (for Daines) Amendment #340, as modified, to HR1628, the AHCA.

CBO scored "skinny" repeal...

https://twitter.com/kasie/status/890359137531551744

16 million uninsured, 20% increase in premiums each year.

I call on the senate to stand against this sham of a bill.

Steve Daines (R-MT) is reciprocating Merkley/Murphy by introducing a single payer amendment, making Democrats go on the record.

Lol let this somehow inexplicably pass

Bernie told them to f off

Bernie and Wyden took the floor earlier today in scathing opposition to the bill, noting how crucial it is to take such enormous legislation into consideration and see its implications on all families in the US. This is what politics should be.

If Schumer offered not to run a Democratic candidate against Heller in exchange for permanent no on all ACA repeal votes, would it be a good deal for Democrats?

I'm thinking yes. There's no guarantee of beating him anyway.

*headdesk*

This idea is unenforceable, and would shoot senate dems in the foot. No.

Rosen has already declared and has made ads about Heller's vote on the MTP. The cat is already out of the bag.

They are saying that they are going to include their personhood amendments (ban PP from Federal Funds) into the skinny repeal but isn't that not reconcilable?

Yes, keeping Heller in the Senate will help keep a GOP majority that will appoint conservative justices to overturn Roe v. Wade, which would save millions of lives.

Cornyn's optimistic claims have blown up several times in this debacle. He always claims victory to make it seem inevitable. Let's hope that happens again.

Senate voting on Daines' single-payer amendment. Sanders and most Democrats voting present, Republicans voting against. Tester and Heitkamp voting Nay.

Like I said, the Skinny Repeal will be the easiest thing to fix once we have taken our country back.
