15 million kicked off their insurance by next year. Right in time for the midterms. Atleast people can hold them accountable if they pass this monstrosity.

My guess is they'll fold soon. Rand Paul is a complete phony and Collins could care less.

I dont think so. For all the bullsh**t she spews, Collins wont vote for something that cuts planned parenthood or Medicaid.

Maine never expanded Medicaid anyway. Collins is a fraud who voted to confirm Gorsuch despite his obviously terrible views on women. Collins could care less about PP or womens health. Dont be surprised if Murkowski folds too. None of these people have ever had to have their character put to the test during their time in Congress and the GOP has no room for dissident, everyone falls in line or they get destroyed.

The GOP is the heavens gate of political parties. They're basically a kamikaze suicide cult barging full steam ahead at destroying the government and taking everyone, including themselves, with it. The average Republican politician today is in a never ending cycle of being angry and stupid and lashing out because of it.

If Collins is running for Governor, shes not voting for it.

Can they even just pass that through as a budget cut or will they need to abide or nuke the legislative fillibuster?

And if they do just repeal it, wouldn't that just damage industry confidence so badly that many insurers might just stop offering non-group plans?

They cant, they would need to get rid of the filibuster, something McConnell wont do.

If none of them want the blame, the moderate republicans could release a joint statement all stating their opposition.

If the CBO is bad, Heller and Capito will jump off and kill the bill. If its alot better than the last one, it'll probably pass.

They're not scoring it with the CBO

They're using the HHS to cook the books

They still need the CBO to vote on the bill, right?

This says a CBO score is coming out monday without the Cruze Amendment.

There is a CBO score coming Monday, and the changes in the senate bill arent enough to actually move the uninsured number. Im betting Capito and Heller jump ship Monday after the score comes out, regardless of the HHS score on the Cruze amendment. Murkowski has also said she cant be paid off, but it wont be the first time she'd come off as a huge liar.

Dean Heller has realized that he's in a position where he's going to lose his seat no matter which way he votes on the bill (whether in a GOP primary or in the general), which does free him up to cross over. He's in Blanche Lincoln/Ben Nelson territory now.

We'll see how Monday goes. The Senate bill was all set to pass three weeks ago when all hell broke loose over its scoring.

You really think there going to primary him? Thats a sure fire way to lose the seat.

Just being reported that Lisa Murkowski is against the motion to proceed on straight repeal. Thats 3 no's.

So when Trump says "let obamacare fail", he just means leaving it alone, right?

Trump may have just directed a thinly veiled threat at Heller.

Trump, sitting next to Heller, "He wants to remain senator, doesn't he?"

Half is the country's population would live in a place with no individual insurers by 2020.
They'd better go get jobs, then!

I know your probably trolling but I've worked countless full time jobs that had no benefits. And these were decent paying jobs too, not a minimum wage service position.

Actually it just came out:

"Obamacare Repeal Reconciliation Act of 2017"
-32 million more uninsured over 10 years
-Premiums doubled over 10 years

https://www.cbo.gov/publication/52939

Those are huge numbers !
I cant see how the GOP can move forward with their idea, with these estimates disclosed by the CBO.

We'll see what happens tonight. While I like Murkowski and Capito, I dont think they're above being bribed for support.

At this point, Portman and Heller arent the people to look at. Capito and Murkowski are.

I have zero faith in Capito

I have more faith in her than I really should. West Virginia will be hit harder than any other state if the  Medicaid cuts go through.

They can vote on the parliamentarian rulings since Pence isnt obligated to listen(or something like that). But with a margin of 2 votes, I dont see them actually being able to over rule anyone.

Breaking: The Senate parliamentarian has determined that some provisions violate the Byrd rule, making them impermissible under reconciliation.

https://www.budget.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Background%20on%20Byrd%20Rule%20decisions_7.21%5B1%5D.pdf

They could just fire the parliamentarian...they did it during the Bush years lol

They don't even need to do that, they can just overrule her as far as I know. But if they do that they might as well kill the filibuster.

Then why didn't Dems do.this in 2010 to pass the public option?

Because Reid cared about Senate protocol.

McConnell has turned the Senate into goddamn mickey mouse operation.

Can't even blame Trump for this ****show.

I do wonder if McConnell cares about his legacy at all. He's making Reid look like Dole(In my opinion, Dole was a strong majority leader).

CSPAN 2 is saying that McConnell will be asking to begin debate on the AHCA (house version).

That means Murkowski is a probable no unless McConnell sufficiently bribed her.

McCain has not really been considered to be a definite yes vote. Imagine McConnell's anger if he returns, only to vote no.

Apparently McCain is a firm yes on the MTP so....
