2.8 Years Earlier
George Bush Bears Reagan to be the 1980 Republican nominee and wins
3.Return of the Kennedys
Ted Kennedy defeats Jimmy Carter in the primaries and wins the 1980 election
4.
One more Try
A TL where Gerald Ford runs in 1980 and wins
5.Two timing Carter
Jimmy Carter wins the 1980 election and continues his presidency.

Collaborative timelines don't really catch on here like on AH.com (where there have been a bit too many lately). Cathcon and I tried one in 2011. I'd be happy to revive it if 1968 is of interest to you.

Did we? Been a while.

What version of "collaborative timeline" is this? The one where different dates are posted randomly in no order? Or one where posters work by PM to produce updates? Or the type of thing where each election is posted by someone different?

If you're talking about the one Spiral and I ended up with, that one ended up going to the end.

Also, Truman's current TL had Cranberry on the other end before he left.

I think the most interesting timeline would be number one.  Apparently, we got pretty damn close to having George HW Bush as president seven years early.  Thank God for the agent who said, "take him to George Washington University Hospital, not the White House".  That decision may have saved President Reagan's life.
