I have no idea whether she would be a good candidate, but I like the idea of more scientists in Congress.

I like this idea.  It was sad to see Shaughnessy Naughton go down this year.  Too many legislators are dime-a-dozen lawyers.  It helps to get people with lots of different background and experience so more unique and diverse bills get proposed.

This district went to Clinton by a 7 point margin, and the incumbent, Steve Knight won by a 6 point margin. I think if Phoenix wins the primary, she has a more-than-even chance of winning the general election if the national environment is favourable to the Democrats.

Yes, this district is going to be one of the first to fall in a Democratic election. Especially considering that Knight is unable to keep his trap shut.

Steve Knight is a slimeball anyway.

And yes, the days of Republican holding CA-25 are numbered, whether it's 2018 or 2020.

I believe that Phoenix has a pretty good chance of stealing away this district. Racial demographics do point towards a good sign to come pretty soon, especially after last year's election.
