     Since this is a house bill that passed, I would like to begin by asking that an interested member of the Senate volunteer to assume sponsorship for this bill. We have had problems because there effectively is no sponsor for the Senate proceedings.

     I have to look at this in greater depth, though what I got at a preliminary glance looks good. I particularly like that the maximum sentences for these crimes have been made more reasonable than they once were.

As the original author of this bill and the incumbent Attorney General, I am available to answer any technical, constitutional, or executional questions the Senate may have.

Looks good to me at a first glance.  I'd like for this bill to include reference to another act which should fall under the definition of treason - namely the malicious deleting of threads (i.e. bills and legislation) which are necessary for legislators to have as reference as well as public comment and record-keeping.  The former Northeast, as I recall, had a case in which a disgruntled player deleted several bill-related threads prior to vacating the game and the forum, after which the region passed a statute permanently barring people from holding office again if they choose to carry out their grievances in this way.
