This might look like an odd voting record for someone who is generally center-left, but I have to say I find the PSD one of the overall least pleasant center-left parties in Europe, and the PNL one of the more palatable liberal-conservative center-right parties. Basically every vote since the revolution would have been a nose-pincher, with the exception of the last legislative election, where I think the Save Romania Union really stuck out as a party I could get behind.

2014: Klaus Iohannis

1990: National Salvation Front
1992: Democratic National Salvation Front
1996: Romanian Democratic Convention

I understand, I think. Iohannis is an amazing President, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the fact that he's become the first Romanian politician to begin the gay marriage debate.

He's also a fierce opponent of the corruption in the government, in fact, he joined the mass protests against a corrupt set of laws that was going to pass not long ago.

Romanian political scene is too depressing to vote on anyone. But if I would live on rural areas and be citizen of Romania I would probably vote on PSD and her earlier mutations.
