96 hours. Participate in 1B here if you haven't yet. 43 in each round, 13+ties will advance to Round 2, which should start this weekend or so. You can pick up to 10, and change votes if you want to.

My choices: Fleet Foxes (see sig lol), Led Zeppelin (if you haven't heard Led Zeppelin, you haven't lived), Grizzly Bear, The Shins, Queen, Arcade Fire, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, The White Stripes--could've easily chosen several others, this contest is killing me Tongue

I had to prune the first two as they each had plenty of good musicians to pick from.  I had to stretch to get to 7 on this one.

In hindsight, I should have nominated John Prine and Haggard/Kristofferson...someone with slightly better name recognition. Just because I talk to a few Atlasians about my nominees doesn't mean widespread acceptance. D'oh!

Likewise, I should've picked the Clash instead of Tears for Fears

I'm honestly kinda surprised classic rock is so popular with posters here.  The more you know.

The forum is a generation of children who were raised on hormone-packed breakfast cereals, permanently depriving them of the ability to develop good taste.

Meh, I'm guessing most people (or at least me) nominated bands that had at least some level of mainstream appeal so they'd get more than one vote.

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Superman, E.T., and Jurassic Park themes take backseat to a bunch of bands. Sad!

Funny that LongLiveRock would like classic rock so much, innit?

Oh, somehow I completely missed John Williams on there. Since I can change my vote, I'l add him and take out... Hmm... Smashing Pumpkins, I guess.

Uhh, this poll series is missing both Taylor Swift and Fleetwood Mac and I can no longer respect the legitimacy of it.
