This has been the best political theater of my lifetime.  The Trump Presidency has set a high bar with his first bill.  Hopefully he can keep it up!

3 things.

1) this "crap sandwich with trump mustard" (quote ben shapiro) IS going to pass tomorrow.

2) trump is annoyed that ryan convinced him to go with healthcare first...

https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/845085297213931520

3) trump also says, ryan has bungled the process of HC reform.....blaming all on the speaker.

I don't think Wong quoting some random lawmaker is enough evidence a deal has been made

That's David Young of Iowa. Those four look like locks to vote no.

All the evidence is pointing to a defeat, there are more Republicans who are turning against the bill than deciding to support it

new pro-moderate amendment worth 15 billions.

The new amendment includes another $15B side deal to win moderate votes: McSally, Stefanik, MacArthur & Murphy.

I have no idea how this is going to go tomorrow, but this is such a giant mess. Even if it passes it gets even harder in the Senate next week, especially that it will probably needs to get 60 votes now that they are getting rid of the essential services section.

Sure. But the question now is how many congressmen believe Trump has any such leverage.

Rep Massie earlier today said he expects at least 41 Republicans to vote NO on the bill.

I have a question: If a vote is held and midway through it becomes clear it won't pass, is it possible for Ryan to suspend voting and continue negotiating with the people he thought would be on his side, or does the bill have to fail before they can renegotiate it?

If Ryan resigns, who might replace him as speaker?
