The current era definitely does not represent my political views. The following historical eras are ones most friendly to my politics:

January 22, 1973 - November 4, 1980
From the day Roe v. Wade was handed down until the election of Ronald Reagan, was a good combination of an economically and socially liberal era.

July 16, 1992 - November 8, 1994
From the day Bill Clinton accepted the Democratic nomination/Ross Perot dropped out until the Gingrich Revolution. This period was the culmination of 40 years of Democratic rule.

January 6, 1996 - August 31, 1997
From the end of the government shutdown that ended Gingrich's momentum to the death of Princess Diana represented a hopeful and prosperous time in America's (and world) history.

November 6, 2012 - August 28, 2014
From the day Barack Obama was re-elected until the birth of GamerGate, was a relatively stable period in American history, where there wasn't too much to worry about politically.

June 9, 2016 - November 8, 2016
From the day Clinton effectively won the D primary season until her defeat at the hands of Trump, was a brief period of highs and lows, but mostly it looked like she was winning.
