Here we go: America’s first orange president threatened to block any other Obamacare repeal/replacement bill if his own legislation fails.

Intended or not intended… this whole move by the Trumpster is actually a smart one. The worst scenario for him is actually that the plan gets passed. Because, as we know, that would lead to millions of people losing their coverage. But at least he could claim victory and state, that he is such a great negotiator. If the whole thing falls short of a congressional majority, he has two wins: He can blame to congressional GOP for the loss and play the role of victim. That will mobilize his critics to get rid of Republicans, who are against him. I already can hear him shouting: “It is the corrupt politicians fault that you still have to stick with Obamacare. Lots of Republicans are disloyal losers. Vote them out; they should be ashamed of themselves…”. Second, the Trumpster doesn’t have to come up with a new plan (because he as actually no idea of the subject and quite frankly not the will to study all these details. It’s just not his thing). If the bill fails, it could be a win-win situation for him if he vetoes any other repeal.

It's a very smart move. Not getting Obamacare repealed and replaced would be a big loss for the whole GOP. The ideas of the Freedom Caucus would leave more people losing coverage than the Ryan bill, so it is not good for Trump to give more and more concessions to them.

The law isn't getting replaced. Full stop. Trump's bailing on the law. This ultimatum is designed to wash his hands of the struggle. He wants to move on because it's impossible to pass a replacement that works and clears Congress. ObamaCare IS the conservative reform on healthcare.

So they hope to pass the House but momentum will die in the much more difficult Senate. The point of House passage is to give Trump a symbolic victory and to let it die quietly in the Senate as Trump moves onto other issues.

The reason the reform is crashing is because it directly impacts how people are receiving benefits. The Republican Party has no mandate for entitlement reform. They did nothing to prepare for this moment. End of story.

Oh and no. Keeping ObamaCare is what in fact the Republican Party and the electorate wants. At this point this is all kabuki theater around the fact that nobody wants to repeal the law because of all the benefits going away.

Hint: the Freedom Caucus is trying to kill the bill because a ton of their constituents are reliant on the benefits. Ever wonder why Cotton is so against it? Or why a ton of conservatives from rural big Trump districts are opposed to it?

Agreed. They want to have their cake and eat it too. Republicans made such a huge deal out of repealing ObamaCare for years now; that was their number one issue. But like you said, the ACA was essentially a Republican healthcare plan; they have nothing with which they could realistically replace it. So at this point it's all political theater. They make a big show of trying to repeal and replace the ACA, knowing full well that it'll either not pass the House or will be DOA in the Senate, so Trump is now wanting to remove the issue altogether once it ultimately fails, and they can still go back to their constituents claiming a few Republicans ruined repeal while not having to deal with the consequences of throwing millions off their health insurance. This is why Republicans are so much better and more successful at politics than incompetent Democrats.

Over the last years, Don "The Puppet" Pussygrabber  has clearly demonstrated at length what he feels are appropriate forms of address for prominent holders of public office. To grant him anything less would be disrespectful.

Some Trump supporters are already talking about this in next years Primaries. I don't think he will encourage this directly but there are plenty of indirect ways he can do this, this is a start. He wants a Congress much more to his liking in two years. Blaming Congressional Republican leadership (not particularly unfairly) for this mess is a great start.

After seven horrible years of ObamaCare (skyrocketing premiums & deductibles, bad healthcare), this is finally your chance for a great plan!

The irony is that the Freedom Caucus, which is very pro-life and against Planned Parenthood, allows P.P. to continue if they stop this plan!

Donny "Tiny Hands" 'Pussygrabber' Trump started Tweeting. Looks like the Freedom Caucus is going to be the next big victim !
