Two have been banned (dudeabides and Asian Nazi), two haven't posted since November (Penelope and evergreenarbor), and an additional one (MisSkeptic) hasn't posted since last summer. So, really only 14 who are active members. Of those, the partisan breakdown is 8 D/1 R/3 I/1 C/1 G.

I know being buddies doesn't really have much practical meaning, but I like to send out buddy requests if I see a couple posts from someone that make me think "huh, they seem smart/interesting/funny/nice," and I want to make a kind gesture.

I use the buddy list as an easy list of "people I think are good posters and generally am okay with", which has its uses more often than you'd think. Also it's a quick route to people's profiles.

Yeah a lot of my browsing these days goes through looking at recent posts of people I find interesting.  But they aren't necessarily on my buddy list because I'm weird like that.

I count 65. That includes people I've barely ever interacted with, since I tend to accept buddy requests from anyone who isn't a deplorable (in fact there is only one request I've ever refused).

Two people I've asked never accepted my request, though. I'm not sure if they hate me or just forgot. Tongue
