"by harvesting ideas from the business world"

So Trump has learned absolutely nothing thus far. Good to know.

How original! Truly T***p represents a refreshing change from all the tired political catchphrases we've heard for the past 40 years.

god if only we were governed the way corporate america works! Corporate America - where over 70% of executives would risk the entire company just to meet financial projections for the quarter!

Great ideas! The Best Ideas! Tremendous Ideas!

Yeah. America could right itself in four weeks just by firing West Virginia and pulling out operations in Arkansas. Or, more realistically considering this is a GOP leadership, canceling this season of California.

the office will be staffed by former business executives and is designed to infuse fresh thinking into Washington, float above the daily political grind

Translation: Jared to give cushy White House jobs to various business partners and golf buddies to, much like the President, sit around and do nothing of importance.

There are still millions of people who believe that government is rightly run like a business.

Never mind that justice, foreign policy, defense, diplomacy, and welfare cannot be so run.

Does anyone want to pay $2 for a first-class postage stamp for a letter? Or pay a toll to use a two-lane blacktop road just because it is your sole entrance and exit of your driveway?

Trying to make government more efficient? That's done all the time.

They've already done the big one US companies like: bring in a new CEO to sell the company to foreign investors.

Be fair. By the time this season of The Apprentice is finally over this will probably seem like only  a medium dumb idea in comparison to some of the casts other antics.

This is probably the least damaging thing Trump and company can do. If the worst they do is line their pockets with petty graft and nothing else, I will be relieved.

I doubt that's all that will happen though.

Government organisations are traditionally managed differently to corporations because of the owner.

Shareholders demand profits and dividends.

People demand good public services.

Trump understands this better than most.

Well, just about everyone gets the difference - the question is why should we run a government to "profit"?

Right, because his recent healthcare plan push reflects exactly this. /s
