Yuge population changes. How could these trends affect future elections and states' political leanings? TX, FL, WA, OR, AZ, NV, CO, and NC are experiencing a pretty big population influx.

Is it retiring baby boomers leaving (and dying) the biggest cities or actually employed/employable people?

A better healthcare system, but that's a national problem.

Real estate is nuts. I'm way overpaying for the House I'm closing on, and the rents in Seattle proper are ruinous

I'm sure it's dirt cheap compared to the bay area.

We're catching up fast.

Amazon workers have completely taken over parts of the city.

We don't have any low income housing, none of our highways are designed for this many cars on the road, we have a huge homeless population and even with most of them having jobs, I could go on.

Wow, you keep it up, and your rents might be half of San Francisco's.

Holy moly. That all ↑ sounds like an infrastructural and real estate nightmare. What is being done to address the situation, if anything at all?

I gotta admit, the west coast states and CO are high up in my potential future home state list after I'm done with my degree.

Seattle has basically proven the 1990s notion that high-tech would naturally end poverty is ridiculous. And yet these companies still throw that line around.

Wow, maybe if it's that much of an issue, you could just move or something. Otherwise, you seem to think that cost is fine and just want to complain about something.

Very little is being done, other than pretending that preventing development will somehow depress prices

This is the real problem right here. People want a strong economy but don't want apartment buildings.

NIMBYS should be evicted to the rural, bland, lifeless areas.
