Not the $8 to $10 billion he promised us.

According to The Hill:

The cost will shut down the wall.

To put this into perspective, this is more than the cost of the first phase of California's high speed rail project, connecting Merced to San Francisco.

So, pretty cheap then. Gotcha.

Nobody talks about the land they will have to seize in order to build this, the lawsuits alone will delay it for years.

Trump loves for government to seize land. Sadly, it'll mainly be his supporters who'll be dealing with this and they won't care because it's Trump.

They've got a fix for that!

Because "Trump is a idiot and so are his cultists" isn't a doctrine answer in Trumpland.

Sigh... even the East Germans kept their wall at least a metre back from the frontier and often considerably further (cf. the Lenne triangle).

Under budget, and ahead of schedule!

At least the wall won't be a complete waste of money.

Actually, it will be. That money could be going towards infrastructure, important programs, and other things Americans actually need.

Better spent than the tax subsidies the Creationism museum was given in Kentucky
I'm very proud that the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter are in Kentucky.

This is just Trump's wet dream. There will be no wall, just like there will be no Muslim ban, no Trumpcare, no anything out of this administration.

It's all Fake News from a Fake political party.

Raising Tariffs on Mexico by $67 Billion (to get them to pay for this) kind of seems destructive to ANY future diplomatic relations. Sure, we can find another way to get $67 Billion to do this, through raising taxes or cutting spending (increasing the deficit should never be an option barring urgent emergencies), but honestly it just seems like it would make more sense (and be a lot cheaper) to just do some additional fencing and maybe add a few more ground troops. Remind me again why we have to build a wall?
