1. (R-VA) Senator George Allen
Can easily get nomination, can easily win general...likeable, conservative.

2. (R-MA) Governor Mitt Romney
Likeable, seems like he would do well in debates, can win easily, conservative in a state full of liberalism, very presidential.

3. (R-MN) Governor Tim Pawlenty
Likeable, republican elected in typically democrat state, younger style politican.

4. (R-SC) Governor Mark Sanford
Southern Governor, popular in South Carolina, can win primary easy

5. (R-NY) Governor George Pataki
Well known, conservative enough in my opinion to get the nomination, and I think he can win big since he comes across well towards public.

6. (R-AZ) Senator John McCain
Very well known...tough time getting nomination, but if he does very easy win.

7. (R-NE) Senator Chuck Hagel
Generally well known, would have a tough time getting the nomination, but if he did, I think he could win, and pull alot of moderate support. Very Presidential, and likeable.

8. (R-PA) Senator Rick Santorum
Rather well-known, however would make election rather close. While I might not see him as my personal favorite...I have seen him lately and have somewhat warmed up to him.

9. (R-TN) Senator Bill Frist
Rather well-known, and Presidential, but I don't tend to warm up to him. He does not appeal as much as he should if he were running for President.

10. (R-KS) Senator Sam Brownback
Not all that well known, very conservative...might make election close...but I would not really want a President Brownback.

Allen isn't likeable.
Pataki's political career is over.

Brownback is a poor candidate.  I'm not sure why he's being mentioned so widely.

I saw him the other day on Hardball.  He speaks well, but he does make some off the wall comments every now and then.

I doubt goldie's ever heard Allen speak.  He declares him likeable because he finds a pitcure with a smile.

And Romney isn't a conservative, big boy.

I particularly enjoy the ghastly photo of Naso, and his clearly well thought analysis of the potential 2008 Republican nominees.

And Tweed, you need to have a talk with Archie Bunker.

As a matter of fact, I have heard him speak. He has been on Fox News a number of times, as well as Hardball when he took down Barbara Boxer. Don't you dare try and bate me. I know what you want...you want to bate me and have me say some over the top comment. What do you think I am? An okie from a stoke? As for Romney...he is a lot more conservative than most politicans from Massachucetts. I'm Mike Naso...and that's the way it is.

Well observed!

The list is not fundamentally bad, but it's not all that exciting...the GOP has some perfectly reasonable but uninteresting candidates for 2008.

Naso, "bate" is to flap one's wings frantically, or to lessen the force of.  What you're looking for is "bait".  I usually don't make fun of people for spelling errors, but this is not a mistake and rather a lack of knowledge of the English language on your part, which I have no problem pointing out and correcting.

Even when you aren't bated...ehhh...bated, you make two hilarious comments that may or may not appear in my signature sometime soon.

"What do you think I am?"  An okie from a stoke?"

And

"I'm Mike Naso....And that's the way it is."

Nice to hear from you, Goldie.  Thanks for the material.  Maybe you'll make another cameo next week, or maybe not.  I don't care.

Good luck with your life, buddy.

If you're gonna connect the Bush family to the north do it correctly. Connecticut and moreso Maine would be the correct states.

It's not just birth though.  He did grow up and attend private school in the north IIRC.
