Nothing silly about it. Motions have to have some priority order. Motions of the same level of priority are carried out in the order they are issued.

That's why it's up to fhtagn to close the motion. I can't close it and neither can you. She didn't close it and so the motion was still active.

Which stopped when I raised the point of order which must be dealt with first before any voting can commence.

Yes, in order to raise a point of order that the motion was out of order.

The fact of the matter is that the motion was seconded and fhtagn is thus required to put up the vote on the amendment here.

1. Motions aren't fully introduced until there is a mover and a seconder.
4. No, you don't get to stop votes like that. It didn't stop, this legislation is tabled.
5. Wrong.
6. Fhtagn is not required to do any such thing.

Imagine some random state senator just staying there after adjournment and getting angry that their motion wasn't being considered by the Speaker.

Again, How it's worked is that they are taken up in the order they are brought up. Motion A is brought up. Motion B is brought up. Motion B gets seconded, Motion A gets seconded.

Motion A goes first because it was the first motion brought up. Then Motion B.

Uh, yeah. Point of orders work that way. If a vote is taken out of order, I can raise a point of order saying just that.

Oh. Are you saying that the Delegates is in adjournment?

Oh. Are you saying that the Delegates is in adjournment? It's called an analogy. This thread is no longer the place for CoD business because the bill it was discussing has been tabled.
Yeah, this is stupid, I'm gonna stop debating this, it's a waste of my time, and it's also a waste of Ben's time, and he needs to study, right?

The bill has been tabled. That is not going to change.
If you had an issue, you should have said something in the 48 hours I gave to vote.
You should have also produced someone to second your motion BEFORE I called to vote on tabling (which had a second that allowed me to call for the vote).

Sorry, not sorry.

I don't get why you are trying to drag out a bill that we all know will never pass. We did you a solid and voted to table it. Get over yourself, Ben.
