Well, this bill was on the order paper long before Nev proposed the SIRC. Discussions on restoring the IDS have occurred since I was elected to the delegates 6 months ago.  I think this particular issue is worthy of individual discussion apart from the SIRC.

As for Imperialism, would you regard Napoleonic Europe as bad imperialism? Much of the existing power structure of Europe was reformed into the nation states that we are familiar with today.

Yes, I would regard it as bad imperialism. The Napoleonic state may have paved the way for liberal and nationalist revolutionary ideology to spread throughout the European continent, but it also resulted in the formation of an autocratic state headed by a power hungry emperor. Napoleon fused the worst aspects of pre and post-revolutionary French government to pursue his egoistic ends, which resulted in catastrophic European wars. What about that should I find favorable?

I move to table this Bill on the grounds that it is unspecific and unclear and is not worth any more serious consideration. Is there a second?

Actually, my motion for amendment came first.

The motion for Tabling is out of order.

Voting stops, as we cannot vote on a motion issued out of order.

You did not specify *which* motion, Mr. Cuber. Technically this counts as seconding my motion.

Except it's clear the motion being discussed at the time he said that was about whether or not to table. While I agree he wasn't specific, it was clear what we were discussing at the time. Especially since it has since been seconded (unlike your motion), and Carpetbagger and yourself responded to it.

That motion died after failing to find a second. We're currently voting on the motion to table. If the motion to table fails, one could move to amend again.

I'm going to go ahead and table this.

This bill was tabled and therefore debate has ended, you can always bring it back up in the order paper you so dearly care about Smiley

My motion to vote on the amendment was sustained by Celtic Empire, which took precedence by virtue of being the first active motion.

So the tabling motion is wholly out of order.

My motion was seconded before yours, so it takes precedent.

We can make up rules like this all day.

Feel free to point out where in the rules it says this. Your motion was not seconded. Mr. Cuber's motion was, as well as yourself and Carpetbagger responding against it soon after. There was plenty of time for someone to second your motion in the proper order.

Mr. Cuber's motion was in order, unless you can provide evidence otherwise.
