Best: 1840 (WH Harrison vs. Van Buren), 1880 (Garfield vs. Hancock), 1884 (Cleveland vs. Blaine), 1980 (Reagan vs. Carter vs. Anderson)

Worst: 1844 (Polk vs. Clay), 1896 (McKinley vs. Bryan--although Palmer was a good 3rd party), 1972 (Nixon vs. McGovern), 2004 (Bush vs. Kerry), 2008 (Obama vs. McCain).
