     Putin has little to no control over what happens in Chechnya. I'm sure he's not losing a wink of sleep knowing that gay people are being killed, but let's not blame him for things that he isn't actually responsible for.

The title was misleading because it gives an impression that police rounds-up and kills gay men all across Russia as we speak. Of course the condition of LGBT in Russia is terrible, but it's not relevant to the title of this particular thread.

Novaya Gazeta itself doesn't use the words "concentration camps", but it reports that arrested gays are put into a secret prison where they are severely beaten and tortured. Though I don't think it's really a news at all: it was already reported that homosexuals are detained and some of them are dead and it wasn't hard to conclude that they probably died from torture.
