It's 2008: Time for something different.  Oddly enough, the most plausible ticket might well be Ventura/McMahon!

The Tickets:

Gov. Mike Rounds (R-SD) / Gov. John Hoeven (R-ND): Very popular Republican governors. Will almost certainly win 60% in the Dakotas, but sadly the Dakotas have only 6 evs.

Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley / DC Mayor Tony Williams (D): Two mayors of nearby cities right near the Chesepeake. Brilliantly positioned to take the Nation's Capitol, but will the rest of the country warm to them?

Frmr. Gov Jesse Ventura (I-MN) / Vince McMahon (I-dunno): A tough, tough ticket... but will they win the soccer moms over?

Who wins?

I'm leaning Rounds/Rounds, possibly Rounds/Ventura...

I dislike Ventura and O'Malley so Rounds by default.

Rounds, but Ventura has the charisma to break the duopoly.

I didn't realize the GOP had such a fragile hold on the Dakotas that they had to run their popular governors.  Likewise for the Democrats.  Wink

I think an apricot from Guam, if it was a Democrat, would be "brilliantly positioned to take the nation's capital."
