I saw a book in a record store (sort of ) that was by Rainer Maria Rilke and I got pretty excited and then I realized "Oh yeah it's that German poet guy"

FYI while I was at said store I also saw "On The Road" written by that one guy namedropped in the classic Jawbreaker song "Boxcar" and considered picking it up but I didn't. Maybe if I go back this weekend.

Some of the nuance that comes from playing with language can go, but if it's a decent translation that's not actually the case. And you can always read the original to get sounds and suchlike after familiarising yourself with a translation.

Nevermind, lol. So the one thing I learned is that "Maria" was a somewhat common middle name among Germans born in the late 19th century. Interesting.

Well the band got back together, they're releasing a new album in August (it's titled "S/T" but it's not a self titled album. It's literally called "S/T") and they're playing in Minneapolis in September!
