I say diamonds because it's been going on for so long, but bottled water is quickly catching up and is (probably) much worse for the environment than diamond mining.  The mining seems to be a little worse for the employees though, but they brown, so it's not a big deal.  My girl need dat bling!

Diamonds would be essentially worthless if the full supply would be released. Meanwhile the water treatment in the US has basically degraded to the point where bottled water or tap filters are necessary so easily choice.

Maybe diamonds?  I don't give a rat's ass what anyone says, bottled water (and good bottled water at that) tastes ridiculously better.

I mean, I grew up in a place where the water was filed with arsenic, so I can't exatly call bottled water useless...

I think the better question is, are you crazy enough to drink tap water?

I only drink tap water, drinking it right now.  It's been fine every place I've lived.  The only place I can think of that I've been to where it wasn't was grandpa's farm, but that was well water.  It tasted funny so we brought our own ice, but he drank it his entire life and lived to be 93.

you should try the flint water.  I hear that it's delicious.  "to die for" I believe is the common expression.

Diamonds are forever, bottled water isn't.

Also, most bottled water is just tap water put into a bottle anyway. So basically, you pay extra to get the same thing into a disposable bottle that itself can taste even nastier [thank you leaky chemicals on the plastic]....yeah no thanks.

Spent most of middle school living in a house where the tap water had a distinct yellow hue to it. Drank a lot of bottled water then. People who say bottled water is a scam are usually old cranks.

Diamonds. Bottled water at least tastes better; the success of diamonds is literally just an effect of manipulating supply and demand.

I mean, bottled water is a scam, too. Tap water with small amounts of sulfur is fine for you- it just "tastes bad."
