Did Dave invite his friends, who in turn invited their friends, who in turn invited their friends and so on and so forth until us normies found it on Google? Or is everyone a normie who found it on Google?

It was probably one of the first websites with a large amount of easily-searchable election data, since it was started well before Wikipedia and doesn't require visiting Secretary of State websites from across the country to get detailed information.

Well, most early posters here came from the old forum, which was much less active and organized. How they found that, or how the next round of folks found this, I don't know.

Well, most early posters here came from the old forum, which was much less active and organized. How they found that, or how the next round of folks found this, I don't know.

What is this "old forum". I've heard it mentioned several times but I still have no idea what it is/was.

Not sure, I found it searching for Alternate History actually (via the Election What-ifs? board), and I have the impression that other people may have found the forum in a similar way.

Was interested in election stuff and especially election games, found an election game thread on google from this site. I imagine many others found this place during elections years.
