why, thank you, idd......reassuring to fond out, there are also some real conservatives with principles in the WH and not just alt-right hippies.

and ofc it would be most hypocritical for me to criticize the trump admn. for a strike, which was planned well enough, that i would have praised it coming from any other admn. too.

The most problematic thing about this is that it looks like Trump intends this as a one-off attack but has no idea what he'll do if Assad or his allies react in a manner that makes this a continuing issue.

Someone's not happy about the Syrian strikes and is deflecting.

I'm living in the middle of Europe, so of course I'm NOT happy with the danstger of WW III on the horizon! But I don't blame Trump, I'm blame all of this stupid, butthurt Leftists and Neocons with their Russia psychosis, cause it makes everything damn hard to manage. We would need an immediate meeting Trump-Putin but Trump simply can't do because of all this FUCCCCING idiots in the media etc who can't handle the election results!!!!

i understand what you are saying, i mean, why would an omega male like him sharing any responsibility at all...who do you think he is - the president?

Btw, I miss the old Iraq War days when the Left was against war...

Okay, thank you for confirming. I had a suspicion but I wasn't sure. As you were; carry on.

Actually I just read that Russian and Syrian Military got the instruction (from the US) to leave the target. And that there will not be more attacks (to benefit ISIS).

So, all in all it seems like great leadership from Trump to show US strength and send a clear message.

But I'm still very much in question whether it's not based on a false flag Action by Turkey and ISIS. I simply can't see any need and Profit for Assad in "going chemical" against civilians.

Actually Russia just said, per AP:

BREAKING: Russia says it is suspending deal with United States to prevent mid-air incidents over Syria in response to U.S. strike.

My (optimistic) guess: Trump is posturing to appease neocon wing of the GOP.

You don't take a f-king serious military action so hastily and with the whole situation that officially triggered the action still unclear.

Yup. I hate Russia so anything that heightens the adversarial roles we have is good by me. I want to bring down Moscow and dismantle Putin's Empire.

and "the alt-left" (or more correctly the peace movement) is usually only against western ward, otherwise those people don't care.

Looks like at least 6 people were killed and several others wounded

Now that's a way to help those people, isn't it?

Pathetic decision. Russia has already suspended the Air safety agreement, a world war could break out anytime! WTF is this accomplishing. Giving theocratic violent religious rebels who have used chemical weapons & affiliated to Al Qaeda & ISIS even more territory to conquer.

And what is being accomplished by this. Not even is that investigation completed. Forget Russia, even Canada & Germany have refused to say Assad is behind that & they want an investigation.

Such a poor hastily planned strike !

The use of chemical weapons must not be normalized. I believe he saw those pictures of those kids and it affected him. The same part of him that saved that old lady's mortgage back in 1986. A part of him that rarely comes out, yet is the only redeeming part of him, that we'll need to lean on, badly over the next four to eight years. Good job Trump.

Let's not pretend that chemical weapons are the main reasons. Everyone under Reagan were busy supporting Saddam when he used chemical weapons on Iran & there were no widespread protests. As long it is the Iranians getting sprayed with gas, who cares right? And Killings seriously - No1 cared about a democratic peaceful Mossadegh being killed because he wanted to nationalize Iran's oil or about a democratic peaceful Salvador Allende being killed in Chile only because he was a socialist (& a democratic one).

The neocons & the Military industry complex never care about these things - They need 1 new war to fight !

And the other party, Al Qaeda & ISIS, one of which cuts people's heads off, has sex slaves & the other flew planes into Twin towers & both have also used chemical weapons. Canada & Germany have denied to blame Assad till the investigation is completed. Russia has suspended Air Safety deal, anytime a plane could get shot ! Warmongers seriously !

Are people in this thread still acting like Trump dropped those bombs for any other reason than to boost his terrible poll numbers? C'mon, now.

This ignorant and spineless "for the children of the world" crap coming from the left is the same reason why AUMF for Iraq got 75 votes in the Senate (from the right, it's merely faux outrage being used to justify their typical lust for war).

Stop it.

i don't care why trump has approved this and it changes my picture of him only marginally but the strike itself was done just right.

i don't think anyone agreeing with this course of action is suddenly in team trump if he wasn't there before.

Tear gas is classified as a chemical weapon by the 1993 ban, and the cops use it all the time in the US. And yet crickets there.

And you supported a candidate who voted to continue cluster bombs against civilians. Sad!

And another thing. Russia and Syria didn't agree to ban land mines, but neither did the US. We sure have some great company there.

And expanding bullets are banned in warfare but allowed in civilian use. Warfare is governed by separate rules.

Tear gas is permitted for use in law enforcement, yes.

Looking back at the Iraq invasion in 2003, the media played a huge role in selling the war to people, and what I've seen from media pundits after yesterday's airstrikes, it sounds exactly like then.
