I was thinking more of a strike on our carrier group in retaliation for killing Russian boots on or MiGs in the air. Trump has to be REALLY clear with ROE here.

For all we know, this was a publicity stunt. We really don't know what the hell is going on. Is this a publicity stunt? Did he just suddenly decide to this on a whim? Is there more in store? Did he do this with Russia's acquiescence or against their wishes? Will there be an escalation?

Russia suspends all information about planes, air safety deal suspended. Any time a US or Russian plane can be shot! Someone Russian folks have warned of future military action! Iran is firmly with Assad & Russia. Russia has totally denied having any knowledge of this air strike & has called it illegal. Canada & Germany have declined to blame Assad till investigation has completed while UK & probably France may support strikes.

A few innocent people have got killed too. If this isn't as close to WWIII, then I don't know what is. 1 Stupid fighter plane can come down & rapidly escalate the situation.

Trump's reaction was totally hasty & a disaster - Don't know why people are saying he got it right !
