Sanders' new talk show on Facebook Live is just latest project of a mini-media production house being run out of his Senate office. Guests on "The Bernie Sanders Show" have so far included Rev. William Barber, the leader of the "Moral Monday" movement, anti-fracking filmmaker Josh Fox and former "Science Guy" Bill Nye, whose conversation with Sanders about climate change racked up 4.6 million views and 25,000 shares.

"What my young people tell me — and nobody over 12 really understands this — is video is increasingly important," he said. "And I'm not particularly happy about that. I kind of think it's OK for people to actually read for five minutes. But I'm told less and less that that's the case and that people increasingly want to see video. So we'll do video."

His Facebook page has generated 164 million video views since the beginning of year. And even a 40-second cell phone video of Sanders talking next to a ficus plant can rack up 14 million views. In the last week, 1.8 million people were "talking about" Sanders' Facebook page, according to the platform's metric — more than The New York Times, MTV, Vice and some network news outlets.

Damn young people really love Bernie; which isn't a surprise but still those views are incredible.

Whoever he happens to pass the torch onto for this movement is gonna have some big shoes to fill.

Bernie knows the score, and people -- including me -- are listening.

He is not corrupt, or morally bankrupt, and he's not out for himself. He genuinely is out for the good of the American people and the country as a whole.

His message will never die, but will continue to increase in popularity because it's right on.

Sanders & Bill Nye discuss Climate Change - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EptSiGwuaKc

The rest are also easily available in Youtube. I hope he does a segment on Marijuana soon. Maybe he could bring famous teachers, healthcare specialists who have done a lot in their locality etc & look at the healthcare/education sector from their perspective as well.

Huh I'm twice that age and I've known for a while now that online video is a burgeoning format. Most young people get their news off of the internet these days, and increasingly from sources outside of the MSM.

Figure of speech - Meant to say, many 40-50-60 year olds & politicians don't get this !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1Se25Nb4bw - NBC has 3 min video on this.

Bernie calls him a luddite but says he understood the  importance of video years back when he used to do a Show as Mayor (the video has some vintage old videos of Bernie's TV shows in 80's).

He plans to take the show outside of Capitol Hill & he also wants feedback from people & use that pressure from the grassroots to shape policy ideas in DC !

Yeah, that 300,000 house and the people he involved in his after campaign website that he said would have no role in it show he truly is in it for the people and not himself.

Also given his age, 12 and 25 probably seem like they are roughly the same. Tongue

People putting Bernie down....nobody is perfect, including yourselves. Bernie is the closest thing to honesty that we have as a politician. I'm following his FB page and he is tirelessly posting on there about the injustices that the GOP are trying to heap on America and what he's trying to do to combat their garbage.

I'll listen to Bernie over any of the other members of Congress any day.

Bernie Sanders was with Elizabeth Warren & they had a large amount of audience Q & A session on Trumpcare !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaDjO1Nmss8

Last Question was to Warren about Single Payer & she talked about defending the ACA now but supports  a move to single payer !

Wow....because everyone needs a TV station, even socialists.  It's just a "basic human right", LOL.  Wink
