Considering recent trends for disgraced former governors from the south, when do you think Bentley runs for Congress?

Part of the plea deal was that he would never hold public office again.

He would wipe the floor with the Auburn vote, but how much would he struggle with the Alabama vote? (This actually would be one of the more meaningful divides if he ran)

No kidding. That cuts across party lines. Has Tubs been fired by Cincy yet, though?

It's pretty remarkable, considering the current state of those programs, that Auburn rattled off SIX straight Iron Bow wins under Tubs. What a run. Underrated ball coach in his prime

He was fired/quit after a disappointing season last year

And now, the hilarious parts of this story.
Gov. Bentley opened door of DC hotel in underwear expecting Rebekah Mason, report claims.

Here were some released texts between Bentley and Mason included in the House impeachment report:

The way these texts were found? Bentley had his iCloud account linked to his state-issued iPad, which he gave to his then-wife... just wow. What a story this is.
if it wasnt for the fact that he was married i wouldnt really care.

I wonder if Bentley eats p*ssy

This whole story is honestly a treat to read though.

On another note, Siegelman did nothing wrong.

Yes, Lurleen Wallace was the first female governor of Alabama.

Though it should be noted that this is true only in the technical sense. George called the shots, and Lurleen was in-treatment for the cancer that killed her most of her term.

All this to say, Kay Ivey (despite my deep dislike of her ideology) seems to be a much better figure to hold up as a trailblazer - she actually appears to be putting in the work to put the state back together.

Likely R, Doug Jones could possibly try and roll his senate run into a Gov. run against Ivey, or a new challenger could appear and use Bentley on her.
