Link.

Blue state Republicans like Baker, Hogan, and Scott lead the pack. The most unpopular, unsurprisingly, are Christie, Brownback, and Malloy.

Some other standouts:

MT: Bullock - 59/28
LA: Edwards - 60/29
IL: Rauner - 42/49
MI: Snyder - 40/54
AK: Walker - 43/53
WI: Walker - 46/51
FL: Scott - 57/36

I'm surprised Alaska's Walker is less popular that Wisconsin's Walker.

Bill Walker slashed the Alaska Permanent Fund dividends by about half last year. Not the most popular decision he could have made.

Probably a wise fiscal move, though.

Phil or Rick? Phil is popular because he's very careful not to do anything stupid, like most blue state R governors. No idea about Rick.

Amazing how Scott Walker is basically seen as made of teflon on this forum (rightfully so, I would argue) and he's still more unpopular than LePage.

Le Page at 48/49 might be his best poll in awhile.

KS-04 being competitive could be more to Brownback backlash than Trump.

Because Florida's economy has never stopped growing and Scott hasn't been overtly corrupt

What does Florida have to do with either Scott Walker or Paul LePage?  Tongue

Christie is one of the worst New Jersey governors and the New Jersey Republicans are probably looking for a post-Christie NJ GOP leader like how they were looking for a leader 1989-1991 post-Kean GOP.

Given his freshness, it seems strange Scott is approved of so heartedly, while other new Republican Governors like Eric Greitens, and perhaps more comparably, Chris Sununu are largely unknown. It's actually downright strange people don't know how they feel about Sununu, New Hampshire is a small state and Sununu is a name out there. Also seems odd people don't know how they feel about Cooper.

Scott was extremely well known before running for governor. He was a minor vermont celebrity before even running for the legislature
