This was somewhat surprising, but the turnout was disappointing for Black Lives Matter activists. Republican mayor James Knowles III won reelection on April 4, defeating Democrat Ella Jones.

As you may remember, Ferguson, Mo. is the place where Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer in what many see as racial bias and police brutality.

Sounds like people in Ferguson are disillusioned. I don't blame them.

If they want changes, they should demand more from Mayor Knowles.
