  • Crisp, Georgia
  • Clearwater, Idaho

  • Marion, Iowa
  • Sac, Iowa
  • Ellis, Kansas
  • Owen, Kentucky
  • Robertson, Kentucky
  • Lewis and Clark, Montana
  • Lincoln, Montana
  • Greene, North Carolina
  • Aurora, South Dakota
  • Spink, South Dakota
  • Briscoe, Texas
  • Calhoun, Texas
  • Clay, Texas
  • Concho, Texas
  • Hardin, Texas
  • Lee, Texas
  • McCulloch, Texas
  • Navarro, Texas
  • Polk, Texas
  • San Jacinto, Texas
  • San Saba, Texas
  • Throckmorton, Texas

Fewer that I had expected when I checked, given the rapid collapse of democratic support outside urban areas since Bill Clinton. All rural counties (Lewis and Clark is a smallish city and the only one to vote Democratic since Gore) but less farm belt-centric than I expected (though parts of Texas are in the farm belt).

A map of these counties, which were a tentative first step according to the 2016 map, by which the Democrats lost their then-significant rural base to cater for the socially liberal cities, whose populations would not vote even for a Bill Clinton.

I'm amazed GA had one (Crisp), given that the state as a whole went from R by 20% in 1988 to R by 1% in 1996.

Crisp County did not have one. My sources say it voted for Clinton(47.3%/2,504) over Dole(43.8% 2,321), and then third parties(8.9%/471).
