Can't honestly criticize this decision.

Austria was reestablished after the WWII as a neutral state. Of course being a EU member effectively precludes a Swiss-style neutrality, but they stays away from military alliances.

All we need is Bosnia and Cyprus and the European Mediterranean is ours!

You have a better chance of getting Kosovo to join. As long as Bosnia is 40% Serb, they will never join NATO without threatening the stability of the country
Kosovo is not a sovereign state.

Yeah, admitting a partially-recognized country without a UN membership wouldn't be possible. IIRC even some NATO countries doesn't recognize Kosovo.

I kind of wish they had a referendum, but ah well.

I'd support this if there were some way to also suspend Turkey and possibly Hungary. (I've heard some terrible things about the government of Lithuania too but I don't know enough to comment.)

Unfortunately due to its geographic location and control over the Bosphorus, Turkey is automatically one of the most important NATO members. I doubt it will ever be suspended.

It's unfortunate indeed Erdogan is in the position to be courted both by NATO and Putin.

In the meantime, nine NATO and EU countries (including Sweden and Finland) are working more closely together to combat the Russian threat:

9 EU, NATO nations set up center to fight hybrid threats

Sweden and Finland need to make the final jump, and join NATO already.

At the same time idiot Macierewicz pulled us back from the Eurocorps...
