I quite enjoy them and would vote in favor of a monarchy here, so I suppose I'd be considered a monarchist. To me with all the partisan rancor having a sort of neutral non political figure who is seen as "above it all' would do much to help much of the country come together. Not in this generation mind, but after a few generations have gotten used to living with a monarch I think it would become a cherished institution and sort of national pride.
