Voted option 2. I wouldn't want a royal family in America and I don't follow news about the royal family, but I quite like them overall. They seem like good people and I can actually see some benefit from countries preserving a constitutional monarchy like the UK. If I was Canadian or Australian and given the chance, I'd vote to keep the monarchy, honestly.

Anyone else see irony in this being posted by someone with "Jacobin" in their name?
