American culture has become very political and balkanized in a sense (sadly). It is seen that people who listen to country music vote Republican, or are Independent voters. People who listen to rap music/R&B vote Democratic or Green Party, or are swing voters or just Independents.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians is one of America's most-watched shows, despite the fact that most people do not like the celebrity family. Who did Kardashian-Jenner followers vote for in 2016?

Hillary Clinton.

I'm guessing the Kardashian/Jenner base is mostly young women who are tend to be "girly girls" in a stereotypical sense. Hillary did well among that demographic.
