All of my great grandparents were born in the US. Dad's side came from England in the mid-late 1800s. Mom's side from Poland, likely in the early 1900s but don't know when. Guessing since I knew that great grandma and she couldn't speak Polish but used a lot of Polish words from her mom.

Three countries.

4 of my gr-grandparents from the US.  (3 MO, 1 KY)

The other 4 from a small corner of Austria-Hungary.  On a modern map, it's 3 from Romania and 1 from Serbia.

I've been told where each of my grandparents' parents emigrated from (each of my grandparents had their parents born in a different country, and none in the US) and it's likely that that's where they were born.

4: Russia, Italy (Sicily), Latvia, Poland

As for as I know those were the international borders at the time and I don't know how/whether those are borders today.

Interesting. The only one that has different borders than those from the 1920s is Latvia, whereas the situation in Russia in the early 1920s was far more complicated.

6 in Canada, 2 in Scotland, so 2 countries

I think the 6 in Canada are 5 in Ontario and 1 in New Brunswick, but I'm not totally sure; one great-grandmother was from a Maritime family but I get a bit hazy about which generation moved to Ontario when.

Maternal Grandmother's parents were born in Italy
Maternal Grandfather's parents were born shortly after arrival in Brooklyn from Italy

Paternal Grandmother's father and mother were born in Norway and rural New York by Vermont, respectively.
Paternal Grandfather's parents are quite indeterminable because the census lists him and his siblings at a Park Slope orphanage without parents.
e: Holy cow, 2 hours of research pays off. The mother's last name is incorrectly spelled with an 'i' rather than an 'o' on the death certificate and she passed after the birth of the third child. She was born in New York to Italian-born parents. The marriage certificate indicates NYC for both of them but odd that the husband cannot be corroborated in the census

Thus, 3 though the amount from each is in doubt.- 5 New York (4 first gen Italians), 2 Italy, 1 Norway
