List of American Presidents
45. Donald John Trump (R-NY) - 2017-20181
46. Michael Richard Pence (R-IN) - 2018-20212
47. Bernard Sanders (D-VT) - 2021-20253
48. Jason Kander (D-MO) - 2025-20334

1 Following investigations and continued annoyance with the job, President Trump resigns March 15th, 2018.
2 President Pence takes over with initially decent approval ratings before tanking due to widespread unpopularity of the GOP agenda. Pence faces 2019 with a Democratic House and Senate, with polls showing a even more sour mood against Pence in 2020. Pence runs in the primary, but faces a three way challenge between Ohio Governor John Kasich, a notable anti-Trumper, and ex-White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, who accuses Pence of disloyalty towards the past administration. Pence dispatches both challengers in Iowa with ease, but faces more difficulty in New Hampshire, where Pence gets a distant second to John Kasich (Bannon taking a sizable chunk of the ex-Trump vote that Pence might have gotten). Pence wins the nomination over Kasich and Bannon in an underwhelming fashion, and loses to Sanders/Kander by 10 points.
3 Sanders announces to a beloved nation on June 25th, 2023 that he has cancer and will not seek a second term. Vice President Jason Kander defeats a wide field to become the next President. Kander picks Kamala Harris as his running mate, and with a healthy economy and a still fractured GOP, dispatches Governor Eric Greitens by 9 points.
4 The economy takes a hit in 2027, which is enough to shake up Washington and send in a Republican majority in both houses. This makes Kanders' job harder (even as Kander wins again in 2028 against Katko/Haley), and his second term is considered one of Democratic ideological stagnation after years of large social democratic reforms under Sanders and most of Kanders' first term. Democrats lose in 2032 to a fundamentally re-organized, more moderate opposition.

Plausible.

45. Donald J. Trump: January 20, 2017 - Nov. 7, 2020*
46. Michael R. Pence: Nov. 7, 2020 - Jan. 20, 2021**
47. Joseph R. Biden: Jan. 20, 2021 - Jan. 20, 2025
48. Kirsten Gillibrand: Jan. 20, 2025 - Jan. 20, 2033
49. Corey Gardner: Jan. 20, 2033 - ***

*Resigned following his defeat to Frm. Vice Pres. Joe Biden in 2020 Election. Pres. Trump lost 296 to 242, and received 47.41% of the popular vote to Biden's 49.15%.

**Declined a second term, citing age. Vice President Gillibrand succeeded him, defeating Frm. President Mike Pence and Frm. Ambassador Nikki Haley 320-218; and 51.04% to Pence's 46.95%

***Following President Gillibrand's landslide reelection over Sen. Tom Cotton in 2028 (372-166), the Republican Party finally collapsed paving way for the Union Party. The new party struck a populist cord, contrasting itself with Gillibrand's attention on foreign affairs over domestic matters.
The party drew a wide array of members including some Democrats. The first nominee was Corey Gardner, who became an independent after the 2024 Election. He narrowly defeated Tim Ryan and and Ted Cruz; the last nominee of the Republican Party. Gardnder was elected 275 to Ryan's 197. Cruz received only 66 electoral votes and a meager 18.89% of the vote, compared to Gardner's 41.06% and Ryan's 39.04%

NHI, I assume the electoral map looks like this(EV calculations are made using 2016 electoral vote map)

275: Senator Cory Gardner/Governor Jaime Herrera Beutler - 46.4%
198: Vice President Tim Ryan/Governor Alicia Menendez(D-FL) - 39.6%
65: Senator Ted Cruz/Representative Ed Henry(AL-5) - 11.9%
Others - 2.1%
