How do those activities (last 3) themselves motivate you?

While you wait for Meclazine, read up on endorphins.

But you know this, right?  His last 2 make perfect sense and uplifting music is always a motivator.

Why exercise when you can just take drugs?

Oh I do benefit from runner's high almost on a daily basis but it doesn't seem to do anything for me in terms of straight up motivation. Neither does music, although music does help me focus when I actually do muster the motivation to do things.

I only ask this question because I don't think I can recall ever being as unmotivated and lazy as I am right now. It's incredible. I actually watched an extra episode of Breaking Bad last weekend because I dropped the remote (and it somehow bounced "walking distance" away from me) and was too lazy to pick it up and put on something else

Fear. All fear, all the time. The cold, harsh, unfiltered terror that I will be forced to settle for a life of slaving away at a job I hate just to preserve a status quo of misery. The continual realization that the unmarked countdown to my demise keeps ticking on--tick...tick...tick...tick--it sounds like that--tick...tick...tick--and every second I spend staring into the wall is a second I failed at everything else I could've done at that time. Yes these thoughts paralyze me as much if not more than they motivate me, but nothing else really motivates me so eh.

That was depressing so I will balance it out with an adorable picture of kittens:

If I had to give more motivating advice--and I will because I'm trying to help you, here--I'd say to force yourself to do things until it becomes a habit, and then the habit theoretically works as a substitute for motivation. Than has never worked for me, but maybe it'll work for you?

Hopefully something does. Being unmotivated freaking SUCKS.

Sorry, flat out.

Playing drums is very therapeutic when you want to let out aome aggression.

Playing guitar is an amazing release if you are feeling down.

Playing bass is a great 'feel' instrument.

Swimming gives me such an amazing feeling after 2km, you feel like you can do anything. It really clears the skull and gets you motivated to face the world. As an aquatic sport where you dont see ot hear much, you have a lot of time to think as you swim. During this time, i clear my head, and focus on the goals for the upcoming days and plan out the simplest way to manage things.

Running is pure endorphins as Grumps suggested.

Motivation via fitness is a key element of maintaining my sanity when working in the field managing staff.

Bought some new running shoes yesterday.

Fear is also a fantastic way to lose motivation.

Fear of things getting worse at all attempts to improve the lot, fear of getting fired from a paying job if anything goes out of line, fear of the consequences of what happens when you say anything to anyone and they take it wrong, and you can't predict how much power they have.

As I said, it paralyzes me as much as it motivates me. But it's all I've really got at this juncture in my life, I'm afraid.

My current motivation:

My theoretical children, theoretical partner, my desire to not be in the lower class and should I fail to make the lower class more equal to the other classes, and my desire to travel.

Also my mother, only intermediate family member.

Listening to music motivates me most besides my girlfriend, family and friends. Or sometimes just a tasty lunch.

Heroin is the narcotic of the respectable, professional classes. One can effectively function in society whilst addicted for years. We should all be so lucky.
