YouGov (27-28 Apr)Sad
Con - 44% (-1)
Lab -  31% (+2)
Lib - 11% (+1)
UKIP - 6% (-1)
Grn - 2% (-1)

Kind of weird how Labour might improve on their performance last time but go backwards in seats because the Conservatives are improving more.

Tony Blair would win fewer votes than Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader, new poll reveals

GfK poll showed that

31% will vote for a party led by Corbyn
23% will vote for a party led by Blair
24% will vote for a party led by Miliband
25% will voet for a party led by Cooper

It seems even if Corbyn leads LAB to a historic defeat he is still the best they got.

The Blairites obviously don't want you to see that poll.

Theresa May wants draconian control over the Internet. The whole thing is a disaster. A vote for the Conservative party is a vote for fascism.

Only 2 of the 10 largest papers favor the Labour party over the Tories.

@iankatz1000
Former Labour home sec Charles Clarke on Corbyn linking terror to foreign policy: "I haven't taken Jeremy’s advice on security matters for yrs. He’s simply wrong"

While i agree Iraq was a terrible mistake, i dont think its the right move from Corbyn

ISIS just wouldn't exist without the Iraq war and the US/UK involvement in Syria. And Libya is also relevant here.

After the March Westminster attack, Corbyn going after May for low police funding.

May was warned 2 years ago by Manchester police that cuts increased the risk of a terrorist attack.

Westminster voting intention:
CON: 46% (-2)
LAB: 34% (+4)
LDEM: 8% (-2)
UKIP: 5% (-)
GRN: 2% (-1)
(ComRes / 24 - 26 May)

That same poll has this. If the election gets more issued based, that's great for Labour.

On who 'have the best policies for people like me and my family':

May and the Tories: 37%
Corbyn and Labour: 42%

Nicola Sturgeon confirms interest in a coalition with Labour as she says Tory governments 'damage Scotland'

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/28/warning-coalition-chaos-nicola-sturgeon-says-would-seek-progressive/

It seems the CON talking point of "Coalition of Chaos" will be back ...

The hard Brexit party is complaining about chaos? Hilarious.

fwiw, if Labour didn't have such a sh**t leader, they'd probably bending better.

And this was from before the Labour manifesto boosted them in the polls.

Except he didn't actually say that. He said no to first use, then waffled on retaliation...

I think he was clear that he would use it if he had to, but he really really doesn't want to have to.

The nuclear deterrent works because anybody who could threaten the UK would know that they would suffer nuclear retaliation in return. It is a threat and deterrent, the main purpose of having a deterrent is to ensure that it would never have to be used.

And even if they wiped the UK off the map, they'd have the rest of NATO wiping them off the map. Not happening, obviously.

2015: Labour would have supported 10% cuts to the policing budget. As it happens, Osborne ruled out any further cuts

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-34922126

^^ Labour shouldn't overplay police cuts it may backfire but rather focus on an alternative way to tackle extremism

This is how you turn young Muslims away from terrorism.

I'm clear: if human rights laws get in the way of tackling extremism and terrorism, we will change those laws to keep British people safe.

Absolutely disgusting. Civil liberties should NEVER be compromised.

May is so terrible. She was home secretary for 6 years, who is supposed to protect national security. And her foreign policy in Iraq, Syria, and Libya has helped make ISIS be a strong force there.
