I am sure that AG Jeff Sessions probably wish he had not leave the U.S. Senate.

Senate Leadership Fund is out with another ad attacking Brooks for being disloyal to Trump. Still no ads attacking Moore. I wonder if Strange's internal polls show Brooks being a bigger danger than Moore.

yey, the only 'sane' and 'non-corrupt' republican won't get the GOP nomination.

Seriously though, the dems should at least pretend to contest this, if nothing else to organize voters in Martha Roby's district. Ideally, a democratic upset will help repair the democratic bench slightly.

By 'sane' I mean not Roy Moore and by 'non-corrupt' I mean not involved in spooky deals with the previous governor.

The Alabama Republican Assembly is backing Moore.

Also, I dug up Moore's election map from 2012. He lost by only 3.5%, even as Romney was walloping Obama by 22%. I'm starting to actually think Democrats should make a serious play if Moore is the nominee. Moore could be the GOP version of Martha Coakley.

It might get strange into the run-off lol.

Roy Moore is much more authentically trumpian. Strange is just an impostor. I think the Trumpkins will see that and give Moore the nomination.

Moore is a Constitutionalist.  He's also got credibility.  If I lived in AL, I'd vote for him.

Lol no, disobeying a ruling of the SCOTUS is the definition of someone who doesn't care about the Constitution.

Trump is a man of practical politics, at least at times. As is Strange. Brooks and Moore, less so.

Trump's probably doesn't care too much. If he endorsed Moore, it might make more GOP senators more willing to buck him. Endorsing Strange though seems like the safe option.

Maybe not if you view Trump as someone with a set of coherent views. But if you see Trump is a culmination of all of the fringiest wings of the GOP, as we should because that's how he won the primary, then we should see Roy Moore's wacky theocratic bluster as perfectly in line with the three legged stool of the Trump appeal.

A lot of people who voted for Roy Moore in all those primaries, perhaps all of them even, voted for Trump because of similar reasons, they "tell it like it is".

And even more importantly " stands up to all those politically correct elitists"

Good. I hope the runoff is Moore vs. Broks. Strange is so corrupt.

Has anyone seen polls of how Moore, Brooks, and Strange would each do in the head to head runoff?

I really hope Strange loses any way possible – but I don't like Roy Moore because of his socially conservative views.
