I don't quite understand how Cathy McMorris Rodgers leads what seems to be the "socially conservative" party, and Paul Ryan's party is somehow "fiscally conservative." It seems to me the names or ideologies of the two parties should be switched, or their leaders should be. Paul Ryan himself may be fiscally conservative, but the people he typically aligns with are fiscally conservative and socially conservative, him just representing the former wing. On social issues, he opposes SSM, background checks for guns, abortions, and supports strict limits on immigration.

What about Cathy McMorris Rodgers? How is she more socially conservative?

I didn't mean to sound critical. I was just curious.

I agree. D66-VVD-GL-CDA seems like the most likely option, although I have to imagine Pechtold would be unacceptable to VVD. A compromise like Salina Belhaj, Vera Bergkamp, or Kees Verhoeven seems the most likely choice if VVD demands Pechtold not take the Prime Ministership.

Does anyone have any suggestion what should happen in the UK? Should May call for an election early?
I'll PM you an idea of mine.

Did John Wisniewski, Benjamin Jealous, Keith Ellison, Peter Welch, Pramila Jayapal, Peter DeFazio, Suzanne Bonamici, Robert Reich, Jeff Merkley, and Alan Grayson, or at least all of them who are in Parliament, also join Sanders in leaving? Or will they leave later?

What big name is running from the moderate wing? Shuler, Cuellar, Goodwin, Kind, and Donnelly obviously must have a large backing/wing in Parliament if all of them made it into the Cabinet.

I suppose I'm a Labor/Civic Union swing voter. I also don't quite understand why Alignment and the Conservatives won't merge.

For the next Fort Lauderdale election, I recommend Jared Moskowitz as the Civic Union candidate.

Will Rodrigo Ros-Lehtinehen run for his mother's constituency?
