(I just noticed I spelled the surnames of Poutou and the crazy cult guy wrong)
(I also spelled Melechon wrong)

I think you'd be closer to Dupont-Aigan.

I probably am, but, believe it or not, I actually have a pragmatic streak and view Fillon as the best of anyone with any chance at the runoff and also the only realistic one to push back against laws like the one that largely banned pro-life speech in France.

In the runoff, I would be Fillon, then Le Pen, then Macron, and lastly Melechon of the four frontrunners.

I'm curious as to why you have Dupont-Aignan relatively pretty high - just right below Melenchon even above the most Flawless and Beautifulest of us.

Macron, given that LePen is associated with Putin and Russian interests and Fillon is damaged goods. (I'd vote Fillon otherwise). In the runoff, I vote whoever opposes LePen, even if it's a crazy leftist.

He strikes me as a pretty earnest and sensible guy, and his social Gaullism is probably the brand of conservatism in France that I dislike least. From what I've seen, his economic program is to the left of FBM's. He's a sovereignist, which is annoying, but he's not a xenophobe.

Melenchon is good too, but Macron.

What's good about a pro-Russia, anti-EU, anti-NATO nutjob who makes Jill Stein look sane and well adjusted by comparison?

wow i just don't know French politics then - NDA is actually, in the grand scheme of things, relatively okay for a rightward candidate. I just assumed he was a far right candidate who just differed with Le Pen on some issue while being as far right economically as Fillon perhaps more so. My ignorance shows.
