I hope Le Pen leads a more moderate party, somewhere between LR and FN

lol after all the media hype of MUH MELENCHON FOR LE PEN VOTERS, only 11% of Melenchon voters voted for Le Pen. Sad!

also the key problem is that Le Pen's name is still Le Pen. It's a horrible family and at least 51% of French voters would never vote for it.

Not surprising, large chunk of the left throwing a tantrum there. "Marcon and LePen are the sames!!1!1!1".

If the exit polls hold, Le Pen has a legitimate claim that the former president of the US illegally interfered in the French election

The Eiffel Tower will become a minaret in 5 years.

You are going to have to step on the backs of millions of flip flopping Muslims in Paris Streets 5 times a day to get to your job - France is Gone.

Add France to that travel ban just keep it over there. No terrorists allowed here in TRUMP COUNTRY

Au revoir France. See you in a few years when you need America to come to your rescue again.

Have fun with your little muslim friends, France. We'll just be over here locking them up and kicking them out. You're welcome to cone over here to the US where it's safe though

Anti-white pro-islam globalists are being (re)elected all over Europe. Rutte in the Netherlands, Van der Bellen in Austria, the French just elected Macron over Le Pen and the Germans either will be reelecting Merkel, or Schulz, who is even worse than Merkel.

It's like Europeans have lost the will to live

France conquered by Globalists. This was the last chance for a once great country, now the country is lost forever. The brave men and women who fought in the French resistance in WWII will be spinning in their graves

Time to get out the popcorn and watch the holocaust that is France.

So Le Pen basically calls for dissolution of FN brand, and a new patriotic party.
What needs to happen is the dissolution of the Le Pen brand.

I think this will also create a split between the hard right (with some LR like Morano) and the far right.

So, what is the possibility of a revolt led by her niece?

Her niece is still way too inexperienced.

Tbh that could benefit the far right in the long run. I can see the ultras getting like 1% of the vote (like the Trotskyist candidates on the left) and the more moderates fusing with Dupont-Aignan and Dupont-Aignan and someone from the remnants of the FN becoming President and Prime Minister in 2022, finalizing the switch to a 2 party system between globalism and isolationism.

Of course that's a weird thing to happen but still.

her best was so far from good enough. she ran a campaign that was both horrifying and offensive AND pandering, overly political, and unsubstantial. She deserves the derision of everyone INCLUDING the far right.

also that is a really pathetic portion of NDA voters that Le Pen got despite getting his endorsement.

Macron's probably going to end up at 66.6% and the Alt-Right will go crazy.

Read an article with a 1st round Le Pen voter who voted for Macron in 2nd round. Their reason was that 1st round was more a gut feeling, but by 2nd round with her terrible debate performance and the prospect of leaving EU, the voter was scared off. Idk about Macron 1st/Le Pen 2nds, maybe they were just undecided and flipped a coin for the 1st round, but by the 2nd their views hardened.

53% of Mélenchon voters supported FBM, but only 48% of Fillon's did, but of course a right-winger like you only takes issue with the former. Roll Eyes

The Le Pens are the far-right. Without them the NF would do well to get 10%. Look at how UKIP have collapsed since Farage quit. The PVV would likely suffer a similar fate without Wilders.

This election was a weaker 2002 result, where the large mainstream of the French electorate united (for the most part) against the extreme right. Very impressive for Marine though, to improve by about double what her father got 15 years ago. I'm gonna assume, based on the increasing social liberalism of Western electorates, that Jean-Marie would've done worse in 2017 than he did in 2002. That means Marine had to break through even further than her father could have.
