We are at a critical time in which the American people has a choice to make because America's future depends on it. Here in Ohio, we've got a Democratic senatorial candidate who is none other than Ted Strickland, the previous Governor of Ohio. Throughout his term as Governor, he demonstrated his terrible record on jobs and the economy in general.

During his governorship (2006-2010), Ted Strickland's support to Barack Obama's War on Coal, his tax increase policies and his populist policies imposed while trade/transportation/utilities is Ohio's largest sector (19.4 % of Ohio's workforce) cost Ohio more than 350 000 jobs. In addition, Strickland drained rainy day fund. The Buckeye state's unemployment rate soared to a 25-year high and Ohio was ranked 48th in terms of job creation. After Ohio fired him in 2010, Strickland turned his back on Appalachia and moved to Washington D.C. for his $250 000 dream job. In fact, he said, I quote, « I had a job last year that was a dream job and paid me more money than I've ever made in my life. » Strickland's dream job was lobbying for a liberal special interest group that supports job-killing regulations, Obamacare and the War on Coal. In Washington, Ted Strickland supported giving Most-Favored-Nation trade status to China and voted against enforcing our trade laws when China cheats. That's why he lost the support of Appalachia, the NRA, Ohio coal miners, United Mine Workers and Teamsters, all groups that are now endorsing Rob Portman because he stood up to special interests and fought hard for Ohio workers and he will keep doing it if you re-elect him to the Senate. Rob has fought back against China's cheating policies such as curb currency manipulation, leveling the playing field on trade so Ohio workers, including you, can compete and win.

But if Elizabeth Warren is elected, Ohio will suffer the equivalent of a second term of Ted Strickland that will bring further big government job-killing policies such as higher taxes and regulations on the middle class and all the people as well as on businesses and on the energy industry. But if I'm elected, all America, including the great state of Ohio, will be back on track and the economy will be working again for all the people. We will cut taxes for all Americans so we can reinforce their purchasing power and give them a fair chance to find a good-paying job, to take care of their families and to live the American Dream. This will also make businesses in Ohio and all across America much more able to innovate, to produce, to manufacture, to grow and expand and to create jobs. We will end the War on Coal, cut taxes on energy industry, promote oil drilling and double permits and licenses on federal lands, which will bring massive job creation and get us revenues which a part will be invested in the development of renewable energies. America will be competitive in the world economy through the promotion of free trade, lower tariffs, tax cuts for our manufacturing industry and reduction of our corporate tax rate to 20 %, which will bring jobs back to America, including here in Ohio.

Since the 1960s, Ohio has always went to the winner of the general election, so once again your future is likely to depend on Ohio. That's why I'm asking you to mobilize in a very large number on November and thanks to your support and to our hard-working efforts, we're going to win Ohio and all across the country and we're going to bring a bright, prosperous, free and safe future for America.

Thank you. God bless Ohio and God bless the United States of America.

-Speech in Sterling Heights, Michigan :

A few days ago, in Farmville, Virginia, Senator Brown has questioned the effectiveness of the Reaganomics, free market and free enterprise. Just like her partner Elizabeth Warren, he doesn't understand how the economy works. Government is not the solution to the problem. Government is the problem. Jobs come mostly from businesses and small businesses and that's why we have to make America the best place in the world to do business, which requires cutting taxes and regulations for all the people and for businesses across America, which will increase their ability to be competitive and to create jobs. It also requires reducing government spending and making America energy independent by lowering the fiscal burden on our energy industry which will encourage energy production and job creation and get us the revenues to invest in the development of renewable energies, which will improve our ecological footprint. By reducing tariffs as well as taxes for our manufacturing businesses and our corporate tax rate in half, we will make America competitive in the world economy and encourage further job creation while bringing our jobs back.

When it comes to the Reaganomics, these pro-growth policies managed to cut taxes, regulations and government spending to spur economic growth, to curb the money supply and reduce inflation. As a result, at the end of the Cold War, inflation was reduced from 12.5 % to 4.4 %, we saw an average annual growth of real GDP of 3.4 %, America’s unemployment rate was reduced from 7.5 % in 1980 to 5.4 % in 1989 and 16 million new jobs were created, 16 million.

If the Warren/Brown ticket doesn't understand that, it clearly demonstrate that they have no idea how to manage the economy and can't be trusted to do it.

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to attract voters who selected foreign policy and terrorism as the most important issue of this election, Marco Rubio's campaign broadcasts an ad attacking Elizabeth Warren on her desire to select Joe Biden as her Secretary of State by arguing that it demonstrates that Warren seeks to pursue Barack Obama's weak foreign policy that brought stronger terrorist threat.

The ad titled « More of the Same » airs in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin

« More of the Same » advertisement narration :

Sherrod Brown's quote during the Vice-Presidential debate : When discussing transition planning, Senator Warren wants Vice-President Biden as Secretary of State.

Narrator : With Joe Biden as Secretary of State, Elizabeth Warren clearly demonstrated that she wants to bring more of the same, that she wants to pursue Barack Obama's weak foreign policy that gave us stronger terrorist threat and failed to keep America safe.

Just like Barack Obama, Joe Biden has a record of bad judgement. In 2002, he voted in favor of the Iraq War before opposing it. As Vice-President of the United States, Biden, along with the administration he's working for, are making America a much easier target for terrorists. On September 11 2012, radical Islamic terrorists in Libya killed 4 U.S. ambassadors at our embassy in Benghazi because we did not have all the necessary security measures, arsenal and equipment to avoid this tragedy and the Obama Administration even lied about why these 4 Americans are dead.

Hillary Clinton during Senate hearings on the attack in Benghazi : What difference at this point does it make?

Narrator : Joe Biden and the Obama Administration ignored the potential that Russia would be a threat to international security and freedom and yet Russia invaded Ukraine, annexed Crimea and is now leading cyber-attacks against us and our democratic institutes. The moreover that Syria is led by Bachar el-Assad who is none other than a puppet of Vladimir Putin.

Joe Biden and the Obama Administration drastically cut in our security measures and our military, lowered our military at its' smallest size since World War I and increasingly disengaged America from the fight against terrorism by withdrawing our troops from Iraq at the wrong time while our duty to train Iraqi troops, to transfer the responsibility of their country's security to them, and to rebuild Iraq was not completed yet. That created a vaccuum in the Middle East and gave a great opportunity for ISIS to emerge, to conquer a large territory in Iraq and Syria and to make these two countries a base they are using to launch terrorist attacks against our allies in Paris, Nice, Brussels and against the United States like they did in Garland, San Bernardino and Orlando.

Just like Barack Obama and Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden does not have the courage to define our enemy by it's name which is radical Islamic terrorism. How can he be trusted to keep us safe if he doesn't know who the enemy is?

Joe Biden and the Obama Administration made concessions to the world's biggest sponsor of global terrorism. They got the world closer to a nuclear Iran by approving the Iran nuclear deal that is giving Iran the revenues from the lifting of the sanctions and they will use these revenues to keep sponsoring global terrorism and to build nuclear weapons that will destroy Israel and attack America and our allies, which will also give terrorist groups like the Hezbollah or Sinai Province (branch of ISIS) an opportunity to take control of Israel's territory, to make it a terrorist haven and to use it as a springboard to prepare and commit terrorist attacks in the Middle East, in Europe and in the United States.

Elizabeth Warren is running for Obama's third term, including on foreign policy. The Warren/Biden foreign policy will make our enemies stronger, contribute to the death of much more Americans in the hands of radical Islamic terrorists and lead to ISIS' victory. We can't afford 4 more years like the last eight years.

But Marco Rubio will change all of that. He has all the foreign policy experience, knowledge, judgement and background to keep America safe. As a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and of the U.S. Senate Committee on Intelligence, he can be trusted to defeat ISIS and global terrorism. He sponsored a bill sanctionning the Hezbollah and he sponsored the North Korea Sanctions and Enhancement Policy Act of 2016 that increased sanctions against North Korea and against companies or banks that transfer dollars to the regime of Kim Jong-un who would have used these capitals to fund the development of its nuclear arsenal.

As President of the United States, Marco Rubio will call the enemy by its name : radical Islamic terrorism. He will secure our borders and establish background checks on refugees before allowing them to cross our borders in order to stop ISIS from infiltrating our country and killing Americans. President Rubio will reinforce our security measures, increase the FBI's counter-terrorism budget, increase our defense budget in order to reinforce and modernize our military and ensure our troops' readiness, strengthen and expand our alliances, track and strike terrorists wherever they are through our military arsenal and power, arm the Kurds, establish background checks on Syrian rebels before arming them in order to make sure we'll not arm terrorists disguised as moderate rebels and capture ISIS' oil refineries and give them back to Syria and Iraq in order to deprive ISIS of the revenues from local oil drilling to finance and organize their terrorist activities.

Marco Rubio will stand with our Eastern European allies and provide them all the arsenal they need to combat the pro-Russian rebellion in Ukraine, to stop Putin's invasion of Ukraine and give Crimea back to Ukrainians, thus ensuring victory for freedom, democracy and territorial integrity.

He will abolish Obama's Iran nuclear deal in order to stop Iran from getting the capitals they are using to develop nuclear weapons and to fund terrorist organizations. Thanks to an anti-missile shield, we will intercept and take down any missile launched by Iran against us and our allies. Thanks to a stronger diplomacy, he will make sure that Iran will use its nuclear energy for economic purposes not for military purposes.

So the choice for this presidential election is 4 more years of weak foreign policy and terrorist threat or real leadership that will lead America to victory against terrorism and tyranny.

Marco Rubio : I'm Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

What Pearcy Did

Pearcy campaigned in Ohio in economic populism and how corrupt Warren and Brown are and how he thinks the media is in their backpockets due to the DNC leaks back in July.

Pearcy went back to California to campaign on competition in the energy market and went to a LA Dodgers playoff baseball game and met supporters around that area.

Sanders campaigned in New Hampshire and Hawaii this week, continuing tl hammer his theme of populism, while still accusing the investigation against his wife to be politically motivated by the manor parties to ensure that no strong left wing third party candidate  can emerge to challenge the status quo. He also appeared at a major rally in Detroit with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and former First Lady of South Africa Graca Machel, widow of Nelson Mandela. Both gave stirring speeches in support of Sanders. An interview with the Archbishop after the rally resulted in this soundbite:

Gabbard menwhile went to Hawaii and California. In both states, she was accompanied by the author  Michael Lewis, a former banker who quit Wall Street over his disgust with the business model. Lewis became a notable supporter, hammering Rubio and linking him to Wall Street, saying that he witneseed the failure of conservative economics, and Sanders wants to overturn that.

Marco Rubio's response to Michael Lewis in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Well, let me remind you, Mr. Lewis, that 5 years ago I demonstrated leadership towards Wall Street by co-sponsoring the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011 which sought a full audit of the Federal Reserve. I think you have forgot, Mr. Lewis, that your candidate Bernie Sanders has himself received money from Wall Street for his senatorial campaign in 2006. He received $37,300 directly from the DSCC at that time. It also gave $110,000 to the Vermont Democratic Party to help Sanders, making eight separate committee transfers. Some of the DSCC's top contributors that year (in 2006) included Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and other major banks. So Senator Sanders received donations from special interests. I don't think it's wise to lecture me on Wall Street while Senator Sanders has received Wall Street contributions for political purposes.

What Mr. Lewis said about my tax plan is absolutely not true and he knows that very well. I want to cut taxes for all Americans of all incomes, including the middle class and lower income Americans. I think you have forgotten that I was myself raised paycheck to paycheck and my parents didn't have a chance to earn higher education so I know what it looks like to live paycheck to paycheck. Just like Senator Warren, Senator Sanders does not understand that it's not the government that creates jobs, but businesses. Approximately 70 % of the jobs are created in small businesses and that's why we have to cut taxes and regulations for all the American people and on businesses, which will reinforce their productivity and their competitiveness as well as their ability to innovate, to grow, to expand and to create jobs. How can you claim that the Reaganomics were a failure if it reduced the inflation from 12.5 % to 4.4 %, increased the annual growth of real GDP to an average of 3.4 % and created 16 million jobs? Like philosopher George Santayana has said, « Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it » and we can not afford to move backwards through trickle-down government policies like both Senator Warren and Senator Sanders are suggesting, which will increase taxes and regulations on the American people and on businesses, thus killing millions of jobs and offshoring American businesses overseas, crush the middle class and make it harder for parents to take care of their families. That's exactly what gave us the economic sluggish we are living now and that's what gave us the economic downturn America suffered under Jimmy Carter before Ronald Reagan's presidency and before the Reaganomics.

When it comes to taxes, I need to remind you that even your fellow Democrat John F. Kennedy has himself, during his presidency, cut taxes and that has reinforced economic growth. You know what happened thanks to Kennedy's tax cuts? The GDP expanded by an average of 5.5% from early 1961 to late 1963, inflation was down at around 1 %, the unemployment rate decreased from 6.6 % to 5.6 %, industrial production rose by 15 % and motor vehicle sales rose by 40 %. No wonder that Senator Sanders is no Jack Kennedy.

For all these years, I'm proud to have fought for the civil rights of the Latino citizens across this country in order to prove to the world that America es la tierre que todo es posible.

I'm proud of being the associate of Cesar Chavez who is the best known Latino American civil rights activist, promoted non-violence in order to boost his campaign for our community's civil rights and became a major historical icon for the Latino community.

But right now, this community is struggling economically and socially. The unemployment rate among Hispanics has raised to 6.4 % from 5.4 % since last summer, which is higher than the total national unemployment rate (5 %). So many of us don't have access to education, have experienced the loss of their freedom (especially those from Cuba and Venezuela) and have families that are broken by our country's broken immigration system. And yet, other presidential candidates in this actual election don't seem to be proposing anything for our community and seem to be neglecting us. America needs a President who will make this economy working and fair for all Americans, including the Latino community, and who will bring all the American people together. I see all these qualities in Marco Rubio and that's why I endorse him.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio is a man who will President for all Americans. As the son of Cuban immigrants, he knows what it looks like to lose the gift of freedom and opportunity. He knows that free market and free enterprise is the only economic system that made it possible for parents like Marco's to be socially successful, to live the American Dream and to make their children better-off than they were. One of the elements required to do it is to promote tax reform and that's what Marco Rubio is going to do by reducing taxes for all Americans, including the middle class and lower income Americans for the sake of a stronger purchasing power for all. That's how we're going to make this economy stronger and fairer for every single American, including our community.

And by electing Marco Rubio on November, we will once again make history with the first Hispanic President, which will demonstrate that I've been right about something that is familiar to you : Sí, se puede.

And with Marco Rubio as President, America will finally reclaim its status as the land of opportunity where everything is possible, we will make the American Dream achievable again and lead this great, beautiful and diverse country to a New American Century.

Gracias. Que Dios bendiga los Estados Unidos de America.

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to attract voters who want an honest and trustworthy person as President, Marco Rubio's campaign broadcasts an ad attacking Elizabeth Warren on her record of untrustworthiness and dishonesty, especially due to her illegal and undemocratic actions of conspirating with the DNC to derail Bernie Sanders' campaign during the Democratic primaries.

The ad titled « Dishonest and Untrustworthy » airs in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin

« Dishonest and Untrustworthy » advertisement narration :

Narrator : The American people wants a an honest and trustworthy person of integrity as President and Elizabeth Warren has failed this test.

During her senatorial campaign in 2012, she lied about her so-called native origins, origin she doesn't even have. She defended Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server when she was Secretary of State, while this illegal move by Clinton is allowing America's foes to hijack her emails and to put lives in danger. In addition, Senator Warren called the investigation about the terrorist attack on Benghazi a waste of time.

Four years later, in an effort to deny Bernie Sanders a fair chance to win the Democratic presidential nomination, Warren contacted with the Democratic National Committee to undermine Sanders' campaign during the Democratic primaries, which is an illegal and undemocratic move by the Warren campaign. She does not dare to tell the American people that she has a role in this story.

She tried to hide herself behind false excuses not to vote in favor of allowing the Attorney General to block the transfer of firearms to suspected terrorists and suspected criminals by claiming that she was still busy running for her party's nomination at that time. In reality, this vote to stop terrorists and criminals from obtaining guns and to committ massacres while defending the Second Amendment was set on June 20 2016 while she already won her party's nomination on May 2016. So the truth is she was in the Senate on June 20 2016 and voted against the bill. And throughout the campaign, she keeps launching false acccusations claiming that Marco Rubio's tax plan will only be for the rich while the truth is that Rubio's tax plan willl cut taxes for all Americans, including the middle class and lower income Americans which is the right way to grow te economy through a stronger purchasing power for all Americans.

Elizabeth Warren. Unable to answer questions. Refusing to accept responsibility for her actions. Refusing to reveal her undemocratic contact with the Democratic National Committee. Unable to tell the truth the American people. Lacking judgement. Dishonest and untrustworthy. She's just not ready. America deserves better than that.

Marco Rubio is a man of integrity. He has an ethical obligation to the American people and he will fulfill it by restoring integrity and dignity in the White House. He will be honest with the American people and tell you the truth in all circumstances. He and all the members of his administration will use an official State Department email account. He will defeat terrorism by modernizing our military and reinforcing our alliances. He will increase funding to embassy surveillance in order to prevent further Benghazi-like terrorist attacks and he will fight to restore the American people's trust in their government by preserving the integrity of America's democracy.

Marco Rubio, the leader America needs for the sake of integrity, justice and security.

Marco Rubio : I'm Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

Schedule for Elizabeth Warren

October 5, 2016

Speech in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (With Maggie Hassan)

Senator Sanders's insistence that I had something to do with the investigation against his wife is outrageous. I do not control anyone at the FBI. No FBI agent listens to me. James Comey, the FBI Director, has been a registered Republican for most of life. I imagine he'd have a vested interest in Senator Rubio winning, not me.

Speech at Saint Anselm College, Goffstown, New Hampshire

I've heard Senator Sanders say on the campaign trail that Puerto Rico should be a state...well why stop there? Guam, the US Virgin Islands and American Samoa should also become states in this great union, as should Washington D.C, assuming they don't want to join Virginia or Maryland...as they say, no taxation without representation!

Speech at The Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Doesn't seem like too long ago that I was accepting our parties nomination for President now, doesn't it? Well, now I need your help. Without your support, we cannot bring progressive change to this country. Without your support, Marco Rubio will be elected President. And most vitally, without your support, an unprepared, unqualified and untalented rock star will sit a heartbeat away from the Presidency. A heartbeat away from the nuclear button. You saw him debate earlier this week...he did not look prepared, qualified or knowledgeable on the issues at all.

What Pearcy did Part 2

Pearcy went on a pacific tour of campaigning where he also went to Oregon where he called out Elizabeth Warren's attacks saying that her attacks were unpresidental and telling her to stop acting like he is too on the ticket.

Pearcy went to Washington to campaign for free market values and went out and campaign for Republican candidate for Govenor Bill Bryant filming ads for him and went to Hawail to campaign on foreign policy and how Rubio will deal with the threat of North Korea

Marco Rubio's response to Elizabeth Warren in Benton, Michigan

What happened in Flint was a terrible thing. But Elizabeth Warren claims that Governor Snyder did too little to handle this crisis. Let me remind you, Senator that he has declared a State of Emergency on January 5, 2016 for Genesee County, Michigan. He also requested that the federal government declare a state of emergency in Flint. So he took responsibility and he took action to handle this water crisis. So it's irresponsible, Senator, to try to politicize this crisis for electoral purposes. Do I need to remind you, Senator Warren, that you helped Travelers Insurance, a major insurance company, to deny payment to Asbestos-poisoning victims? You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Actually, you are the one who demonstrated irresponsibility in handling such crises. Under my leadership, there won't be any further crisis like the one in Flint.

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to rebuke Elizabeth Warren's attacks on Stephen Pearcy and to attract voters who want an experienced candidate as President, Marco Rubio's campaign broadcasts an ad attacking Warren on her short political experience and her lack of political accomplishments and underlining Marco Rubio's experience and mentionning his political accomplishments.

The ad titled « On Day One » airs in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin

« On Day One » advertisement narration :

Narrator : Elizabeth Warren claims to have the same experience as President Obama in 2008, but does she? Before his election to the Senate, Barack Obama had been a State Senator since 1997. Where was Senator Warren's experience in the State Senate? Being a teacher at the Harvard University is not the same as being a state senator. Elected to the Senate in 2012, she has only 4 years of political experience. Even as a U.S. Senator, she has no major accomplishments.

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka : Tell me, what has Senator Warren done in her four years? Nothing. Zip. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was created before she was a Senator. Compared to Sanders, her record of accomplishment, while impressive, is still miniscule.

Narrator : If Warren has no major accomplishment she can run on, she can't accomplish anything as President. She does not have the experience, leadership and judgement to lead this country.

But with 16 years of experience (since he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000) Marco Rubio has a clear and long record of accomplishments. In 2005, while Speaker-Designate, he published, with the help of his colleagues in the House, a book titled 100 Innovative Ideas for Florida's Future. And 24 of these ideas became law and another 10 were partially enacted. Among the items from his 2006 book that became law were multiple-year car registrations, a requirement that high schools provide more vocational courses, and an expanded voucher-like school-choice program.

During his tenure as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, he supported the state legislature's Black Caucus' request that the legislature apologize for slavery.

In the Senate, he cosponsored the AGREE Act that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital and gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise. In 2011, he cosponsored the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011 which sought a full audit of the Federal Reserve. Three years ago, he cosponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act, which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. He successfully sponsored the 2014 VA reform law by introducing a measure that empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. He pushed for Venezuela human rights sanctions that passed into law in order to condemn the tyrannical Venezuelan regime of Nicolas Maduro and to promote freedom and democracy in this country. Passage of his sponsored Girls Count Act increased U.S. foreign assistance on the establishment of birth registries to properly document childbirth and prevent kids' exploitation, trafficking or exclusion from society. His efforts to defund Obamacare saved taxpayers $2.5 billion that would have bailed out health insurance companies under Obamacare if we didn't act. He authored legislation that became law and that sanctions Hezbollah and, by extension, Iran for supporting terrorism. And, in order to stop North Korea from reinforcing its nuclear arsenal and to keep us safe against the North Korean threat, he co-sponsored the North Korea Sanctions and Policy Enhancement Act of 2016 that increased sanctions against North Korea and against companies or banks that transfer dollars to the regime of Kim Jong-un who would have used these capitals to fund the development of its nuclear arsenal.

As a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Marco Rubio knows what it takes to make this economy working again, to make businesses competitive and to encourage job creation for everyone in this country. As a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Intelligence and of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, he knows what it takes to keep us safe and to defeat radical Islamic terrorism.

Marco Rubio. The candidate ready to be President on Day One. The leader with the experience we need in a President to grow the economy, to keep America safe, to defeat radical Islamic terrorism and to bring us to a New American Century. So join Marco Rubio and America will finally be back on track and on the right direction.

Marco Rubio : I'm Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

Sherrod Brown spent the short week campaigning in Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota and Hawaii, with Al Franken, Amy Klobuchar, Michelle Obama, Maize Hirono and Colleen Hanabusa.

He also began discussing options for 2018 and 2020, should the campaign not succeed (he currently is planning to NOT run for re-election, then run for President in 2020, should Rubio win).

Paul Chavez Endorses Marco Rubio
The son of Cesar Chavez  and the president of the Cesar Chavez Foundation, endorses Marco Rubio because of his plan to create economic opportunities for Hispanics, because of Rubio's pledge to reform America's broken immigration system to ensure immigrants' path to American citizenship after securing the borders.

Town Hall Presidential Debate

Good evening and welcome to the second presidential debate

Let’s get right down to it. Tonight’s format will include questions from the audience with follow up at the discretion of the moderators

We do want to begin with the news of an FBI probe of Jane Sanders the wife of senator sanders, Senator would you like to comment and all the other candidates may interject.

SANDERS:I've already said my piece on this. I believe that it is politically motivated in order to prevent a strong left wing third party candidate from challenging the status quo. Moreover, it's funny how my colleague from Massachusetts keeps insisting she has nothing to do with it, whe she still refuses to admit her collusion with the Democratic National Committee.

More importantly, it has not yet been proven that my wife did anything wrong, while the evidence if the DNC collusion is staring us in the face.

WARREN:  I do not control the FBI. I do not have any control of any FBI agent. So the suggestion by Senator Sanders that the investigation into his wife is designed to help me is ludicrous. Besides the FBI Director, James Comey is a Republican. Wouldn't he want to help Rubio?

RUBIO: That story demonstrates that all my opponents have something in common : a record of untrustworthiness and a record of breaking integrity. But whether this story involving Senator Sanders and his wife is true or not, Senator Warren must do something she never dared to do : telling the truth to the American people and telling them what she has responsibility in what happened to Senator Sanders during the Democratic primaries. Senator Warren should recognize and admit that what she did during the Democratic primaries in order to deny Senator Sanders a fair chance to win the Democratic nomination by contacting with the Democratic National Committee to undermine Sanders' campaign by any means during the primaries was wrong, outrageous, shameful and anti-democratic.

Meanwhile, Congressman Paul, like I said, has also a record of hiding the truth from the American people and a record of bad judgement. While he was running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, Congressman Paul has accepted 500 $ of campaign contributions from Don Black who is none other than a neo-Nazi leader, who was a Great Wizard in the Ku Klux Klan and who is running Stormfront, a supremacist website that administered the website martinlutherking.org in order to malign the character of Martin Luther King, a man who spent his life defending African-Americans' civil rights. Congressman Paul has refused to return this money to such extremist supremacist groups led by Don Black. He refused to stand up to hate-mongers. You can't spread the message of freedom with money that came from extremist white supremacist organizations that are against the inviolable rights of African Americans and all other ethnic and religious minorities. These groups are against liberty and freedom. In addition, an article published on Daily Leak, two years ago, noted that documents stolen and released by Edward Snowden indicated that Congressman Paul gave secret government information to Vladimir Putin during his time in Congress as well as at least one instance afterwards. These were apparently documents concerning Russia's imperialist policies and Crimea, a Ukrainian territory that Russia is now illegally occupying. No wonder that Congressman Paul supports this occupation that violated Ukraine's territorial integrity in addition of supporting the fact that Syria is led by a puppet of Putin like Bachar el-Assad who will only bring further terrorist threat in Syria through his oppressive and deadly policies that will push more people to radicalize themselves and to join terrorist groups. No wonder that Congressman Paul wants to shut down NATO, which will make our enemies stronger and make America and our allies easier targets for terrorists. We have to reinforce our alliances and to stand with our allies if we want to maintain international peace, security and freedom and to defeat global terrorism. So if Congressman Paul gave secret government information to the Kremlin, I'm concerned on whether Russia would be trying to lead cyber-hacking attacks in favor of Congressman Paul in this election but it's not for Vladimir Putin to decide who should occupy the presidency of the United States. Only the American people democratically decides who should lead this country. And finally, a report by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a non-partisan legal watchdog group, indicates that during his time in Congress, Congressman Paul allegedly sought double travel reimbursements for expenses. He took a number of expensive flights over the course of his career that he put in for reimbursements from his official congressional travel expense account. For instance, on September 21, 2000, he used his American Express card to buy an American Airlines ticket for $230.50. House disbursement records show taxpayers paid for the ticket on October 13, 2000. Two weeks later, however, Congressman Paul’s campaign committee reported a $230.50 disbursement to American Airlines, apparently to pay for the same ticket. He also bought 2 airline tickets in January 2005, again using his American Express card. He purchased one from United Airlines at a cost of $1,076.78, and a second from Continental Airlines for $403.70. House disbursement records noted he was reimbursed for both tickets on February 11, 2005. Nonetheless, on 10 days later, the Liberty PAC, a nonprofit group supporting libertarian causes that had close ties to Congressman Paul, issued a $1,480.48 check to American Express, which is an amount equal to the sum of the cost of the 2 tickets. So if Congressman Paul was reimbursed with taxpayer funds for expenses for which he already had been reimbursed by others, he engaged in conduct that does not reflect creditably on the House. This double accounting is illegal and unethical.

If I'm President, I will always be honest with the American people and tell you the truth no matter what. I will challenge the status quo and I will fight corruption as well as wasteful spending. And I will fight for the restoration of integrity and defend the integrity of our democracy. That's how the American people will finally reclaim their trust in their government.

PAUL: Well, there's something I find funny about this, while the FBI is investigating Jane Sanders, Hillary Clinton is still free, is still not being investigated, despite the fact that what she did was much more serious! To the FBI she is above the law and this type of thing will continue to happen if something doesn't change...

The fact that the FBI is investigating Jane Sanders but not Hillary Clinton, not politicians that are corrupt, not the DNC because of their corruption is strange, it really makes me believe this is politically motivated or that the FBI is really broken, and regardless of which one of these is the case, this really needs to change and to be fixed.

Alright let’s begin with our first question:

What steps will your energy policy take to meet our energy needs, while at the same time remaining environmentally friendly and minimizing job loss for fossil power plant workers?

RUBIO: Throughout the last 8 years, our energy industry is under siege by the Obama Administration that is leading the War on Coal, a policy that both Senator Warren and Senator Sanders are supporting and that is, along with the EPA, killing energy companies and energy jobs. And foreign companies are now coming in buying so many of our different plants and then re-jiggering the plant so that they can take care of their oil. Take a look at our miners. Senator Warren wants to put all the miners out of business. There is a thing called clean coal. Coal will last for 1,000 years in this country. Now we have natural gas and so many other things because of technology while we have a $20 trillion in debt.

Our coal industry is declining since over 40 years. Coal is responsible for more than 760 000 American jobs. And yet, the Obama administration thinks that « a war on coal is exactly what's needed. » This war on American energy means fewer jobs and higher prices. It means that our people, including middle class people, will be deprived of their livelihoods. As a result, hundreds of thousands of people and coal mining workers, including in Ohio (a state with abundant oil, gas and coal sources) that is none other than the home state of Sherrod Brown, Senator Warren's running mate, lost their jobs while these people need jobs in order to earn money through their hard work and to take care of their families. And even Congressman Paul once voted against oil production and energy independence since he sided with Senator Sanders in 2003 and 2004 by voting against the Energy Omnibus Bill that allowed oil drilling in ANWR to expand domestic energy sources, that allowed tax breaks for energy production and conservation, allowed the construction of a natural gas pipeline from the Alaskan North Slope to the continental 48 states and allowed for research and exploration of new energy and heating sources, which boosted the U.S. economy.

If I'm elected President, we will finally put an end to the War on Coal, we will reduce taxes and abolish regulations on coal industry, which will bring coal jobs back to America, create more jobs, help us developing technologies that will produce clean coal and facilitate America's path to energy independence. Clean coal can be promoted through carbon capture and storage technologies. And to facilitate coal's transportation from mines to markets, we will approve the construction of more coal pipelines. There is one thing that Senator Warren doesn't understand : coal actually produces renewable energy because it is burned for the production of electricity and heat and is the largest source of energy for the generation of electricity worldwide. And in order to boost the number of American jobs created through the construction of Keystone XL pipeline, we'll have to cut a deal with TransCanada to make sure that the pipeline will be built with U.S.-made pipe and with U.S. steel.

Unlike Senator Warren's plan, my plan will make sure that we will invest in renewable energies with a part of revenues from oil drilling, not taxpayers' money, not your money. We can increase oil drilling while protecting the environment. By increasing oil drilling, exploitation and production, we will not only create millions of jobs but also get revenues, which a part will be invested into the development of renewable energies (including wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectricity, etc. ) in order to pursue further job creation and to improve our ecological footprint.

Take a look at Norway, for example. Norway is among the largest oil and natural gas producers in Europe. And yet Norway is classified among the most ecological countries in the world due to its abundant hydraulic energy and due to the priority this country is giving to energy research in order to develop the necessary technologies for energy exploitation, for energy efficiency, for hydrogen and for CO2 capture and storage.

So by following Norway's example, we can encourage oil production, get America to energy independence, invest into the development of renewable energies, protect the environment and ensure America's prosperity as well as America's Energy Revolution.

My plan to get us energy independence will also relaunch and grow our automotive industry because it will encourage automotive manufacturing in America in addition of reducing the cost of buying American cars, which will, thanks to a stronger purchasing power, encourage our consumers to buy more American cars rather than Asian cars that will be more expansive. So it will encourage the manufacturing of cars functioning through renewable energy and also ensure the opening of new auto companies all across America. Combined with tariff reduction, the path that I’m proposing to clinch energy independence will make sure that we will be competitive in the Asia-Pacific region because American cars will be less expensive than Asian cars. It will encourage more international consumers, including in the Asia-Pacific to buy American cars, which will be beneficial for our automotive industry and for our economy in general.

Senator Warren and Senator Sanders would rather keep handing money to terrorists through our dependence on foreign energy due to our oil imports from unstable countries in throes of terrorism, which will increase terrorist groups' ability to finance and organize their terrorist activities and to commit terrorist attacks against our country and our allies. We can't let that happen. Getting to energy independence and taking advantage of our own sources of energy will not only create jobs and make this economy stronger but also reinforce our national security by depriving terrorists of revenues from our energy dependence.

SANDERS:
I have been preparing a plan for this exact problem called the Future Energies Transition Plan. We need to re-train our workers to operate renewable enegy plants and add incentives for companies that manage to do so in a timely manner. I should say that this is the responsibility of the private sector; we only step in when a compnay is dragging their feet.

Finally, we add renewable energy plants gradually. Adding them straight away will destabilize our national energy sources. Add them over time so that workers have time to be re-trained, but don't drag your feet.

Under no circumstances will my administration allow drilling in ANWR or increase it in the Gulf of Mexico. Deepwater Horizon showed us the folly of drilling. We need to restrict it severely.

PAUL: Well, I think we need to get the government out of the job of regulating our energy, we need to let private companies take care of the issue of energy, we should just keep the taxes low, cut the regulations on our energy companies and the end. Marco attacks me saying I'm against energy independence because I voted against the Bush's energy bill, but I voted against it because it provided subsidies, and that's not ok, we can't afford spending and subsidies are basically a way of the government to give money to companies, the tax breaks were good, the subsides, not.

To solve the problem with global warming, there is one simple way to do it, we need to stop socializing the environment like the government does and the democrats, including Warren want to continue doing, a carbon tax isn't the solution, instead we should allow individuals to punish companies that pollute by suing them or not buying they're products, and while some people say it won't work, I disagree, many companies have already became "green" like Google, Intel, Starbucks and other companies.

WARREN:  I would support a full change to renewable resources, and I would retrain workers in fields relating to the fossil fuel industry to work in the service industry instead.

Thank you. Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, it is not affordable. Premiums have gone up. Deductibles have gone up. Copays have gone up. Prescriptions have gone up. And the coverage has gone down. What will you do to bring the cost down and make coverage better?

PAUL:As you said, there are lots of problems with Obamacare, these problems clearly show it simply isn't working, the reason is simple, it makes the government impose too many rules, too many regulations on insurance companies.

Obamacare, and not only it, but also government enforced monopolies of HMOs and pharmaceutical companies, both things haven't helped our healthcare to get better and have only made us waste more money and has taken away freedom from the average american in many ways, like forcing the person to become a client of insurance companies or by, with help from the FDA, suppressing other safe means of treating some illness because it would hurt the profits of many big companies that are helped to create monopolies by the government, these are things that can't continue to happen and that under a Warren administration for example, will continue to happen.

I truly believe that the only way that we will solve this whole problem is to make healthcare affordable, and the way to do this is by getting the government out of this, is by freeing the providers from government meddling and control. By getting the government out of this and freeing the providers from it's control, the situation will already start to get better, additionally we should also allow individual Americans to fully deduct all health care costs from their taxes.

Through these measures and the elimination of government-sponsored health care monopolies, companies will be forced by the free market to have a good service and at the same time, do this at the lowest cost as possible, new companies will be able to appear way faster, different from the current situation, where the application to build a medical facility is costly and slow and most importantly, people will be able to access affordable healthcare, either by paying for medical insurance because they want to, or by covering their expanses which will be much lower, because prices will have to be lowered due to the free market.

SANDERS:We need to introduce a single-payer system which provides coverage for all Americans. Is it fair that US politicians receive this sort of coverage and you don't? Senator Rubio is perfectly happy to receive free healthcare under the perks offered to US Senators, but wants to deny the same system to the public. Is that fair? Does that sound fair to you?

Single-payer systems are inherently cheaper than our current system, because we have to deal with multiple levels of bureaucracy, each one intent on profit. With single-payer, there is only one layer of bureaucracy, and it is not intent on profit. The United Kingdom spends much less on healthcare per year due to their single-payer system. I want that system here.

WARREN: The best solution to the Health Care puzzle is a single-payer system similar to Canada's. In Canada wait times are relatively short, and costs are lower compared to the United States.

RUBIO: Well, as you said, premiums and costs are too high. It is unacceptable that the government takes taxpayers' money to bail out insurance companies. These bailouts are done at taxpayers' expense, at the middle class' expense. That's why Obamacare is restricting the American people's access to healthcare.

Obamacare is the problem of all this mess in addition of being of one of the most job-killing policies ever put in place by the Obama administration. Obamacare is the reason why so many people are losing their coverage because it cut millions of dollars in Medicare, which is harming our seniors by depriving them of their coverage. My mother Oriales is on Medicare and Social Security. I am against anything that is bad for my mother and for every single American.

As President, I will establish an advanceable, refundable tax credit that can be used by every single American to buy health insurance. The value of these credits should increase every year and we should put the tax preference for employer-sponsored insurance on a glide path to make certain that it will make the level of the credits fair within a decade. This will prevent large-scale disruptions and reform a provision in our tax code that has increased up health costs, hurting those who are self-employed and preventing Americans from having truly portable health insurance plans that travel with them regardless of where they work.

I'm going to reform insurance regulations to reduce costs, promote innovation and protect the vulnerable. Those with pre-existing conditions should have access to affordable care through mechanisms such as federally-supported, actuarially-sound and state-based high risk pools. Our people should be able to buy coverage across state lines so they can seek out affordable coverage regardless of where they live. And consumer-centered products like Health Savings Accounts should be encouraged and expanded. There is no single reason to ask  taxpayers to bail out an insurance company that loses money, as is currently the case under Obamacare. My efforts in the Senate to defund Obamacare saved taxpayers 2.5 billion dollars that would have otherwise been used to bailout these insurance companies.

And I will fight to save and strengthen Medicare and Medicaid by placing them on fiscally-sustainable paths. Without reforms, these programs will eventually run out of money. We must move Medicaid into a per-capita block grant system, preserving funding for its recipients while freeing states from Washington mandates. While current seniors on Medicare, like my mother, should see no changes to the program, future generations should be transitioned into a premium support system. A premium support model will empower seniors with choice and market competition just like Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D already do.

Hi. There are 3.3 million Muslims in the United States, and I’m one of them. You’ve mentioned working with Muslim nations, but with Islamophobia on the rise, how will you help people like me deal with the consequences of being labeled as a threat to the country after the election is over?

SANDERS:
My administration will introduce new hate crime legislation to ensure that any crimes targeting Muslims are punished swiftly. We plan to encourage states to introduce body cameras to their officers to ensure that they are not using excessive force.

Moreover, we are prepared to offer counselling to the Muslim population here in the United States and to conduct outreach programs to the Muslim community and to the country as a whole. We have not been atracked by Muslims, we have been attacked by sociopaths.

WARREN: Some on the right, like Steve Bannon have openly stated Muslims are the enemy. This is painting with a very broad brush. Only a small minority of Muslims in this country, let alone worldwide, practice the radical brand of Islam, that leads to terror attacks perpetrated by ISIS, and Al-Qaeda. You, and any other Muslim in this country have no reason to fear from Islamophobia.

PAUL: I think we need to make it clear that those who are making the attacks against us are radical Muslim extremists who can't adapt to the modern world and think we still live in the 16th century, in my opinion the only way Islamophobia will stop growing is to defeat ISIS, don't let radicals enter, stop being so friendly to countries that finance terrorism and obviously leaving a clear message that while there are a big number of radical Muslims out there, who aren't necessarily the minority, there is still a lot of patriotic american Muslims.

If we defeat the terrorists like the ones from ISIS and prevent new ones from appearing I think people will look less to Muslims and associate them as terrorists, to defeat this terrorists we need to work with Russia, our allies and other countries who are willing to help, as well as the Kurds, to defeat them, to make Islamic terrorists not enter the country, we need to only allow the ones we know they're intentions to enter, to prevent new Islamic terrorist groups we need to stop deposing governments from other countries like we did in Iraq and like Marco and Warren want to do in Syria, by doing this we will make Syria unstable and allow new groups to appear, we all seen what they want to do but with another country, that was Iraq, and finally we need to stop being so friendly with Islamic terrorist supporters, like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and others...

By doing all this, radical Islamic terrorism will become smaller, people will associate less Islam with terrorism and Islamophobia will gradually become less and less relevant.

RUBIO:I want to thank you for that question Gorbah because you got it right about Islamophobia and Islamophobia is a shame. I'm proud to be endorsed by Khizr and Ghazala Khan who are the Pakistani American parents of U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, a Muslim, an American hero and a patriot who was killed during the Iraq War 12 years ago. We are all proud and thankful of his courage and service to our country inspired by his patriotism and his love for America. During his service in Iraq, Humayun Khan was inspecting a guard post near Baqubah when a taxicab approached quickly. After ordering his subordinates away, he ran toward the vehicle and was killed when the bomb with which it was fitted exploded. The car detonated before it could reach the installation gates or the nearby mess hall where hundreds of soldiers were eating. So he stopped terrorists from orchestrating a massive massacre and to kill hundreds of people. His service is another of the elements that represent the best of America.

Senator Warren and her campaign keep claiming that we are seeing Muslims as the enemy and that we believe that we are at war against Islam, but that is absolutely false and she knows that very well. We have never ever said or thought that all Muslims are the enemy. We have never said or thought that most of Muslims are the enemy. Our enemy is the dangerous and extremist minority called radical Islamic terrorism. And yet, just like President Obama, Senator Warren and Senator Sanders won't use the term « radical Islamic terrorism ». We need to define our enemies properly and see the connections between them so we can distinguish them from good Muslims, find radical Islamic terrorists and catch them. Because radical Islamic terrorists are killing much more Muslims than anyone else in the world. They are killing them because they are not sharing the same values and that is outrageous and barbaric.

These are the same extremists who attacked us in San Bernardino and Orlando, attacked our allies in Paris, Nice and Brussels and killed 3000 Americans on 9/11. So we need to go after them if we want to prevent further radical Islamic terrorist attacks against us and our allies. That requires increasing the FBI's counter-terrorism budget and our defense budget, reinforcing and modernizing our homeland security and our military, expanding our alliances, tracking and striking radical Islamic terrorists on their territory through military strength and arming the right groups in the Middle East through background checks on them.

It also includes working together with Muslims, who are not radicals. We need to work with Muslim nations like Jordan, the Saudis, the Gulf kingdoms, Egypt and Turkey in order to defeat ISIS, Al Qaida and all other jihadist groups. It will take a Sunni Arab movement to defeat them. Meanwhile, Congressman Paul wants to tear up our alliances, including NATO in which we have a Muslim nation ally like Turkey, which will kill opportunities to work with Muslim nations to fight radical Islamic terrorism because such a decision of shutting down our alliances will diminish our allies' trust towards us and make us as well as our allies, including our Muslim allies, easier targets for terrorists. We can't afford that. And so I think you can be correct without meaning to be politically correct. We are going to have to work with people of the Muslim faith even as Islam itself faces a serious crisis within it of radicalization.

Good evening. My question is, what specific tax provisions will you change to ensure the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share in taxes?

RUBIO: Like I said, I'm the son of working-class immigrants and I was raised paycheck to paycheck and my parents did not have a chance to earn higher education. I understand what it means to live paycheck to paycheck. As we all know, the right way to grow this economy and to make our economy fair for all Americans is not to make rich people poorer but to make poor people richer. That requires making America the best place in the world to do business and to reduce the fiscal burden for all Americans, including the middle class and lower income Americans. So my plan will cut taxes for all Americans, which will reinforce our consumers' purchasing power and increase consumption, an important element of the strength of a free market economy like ours. By cutting taxes and regulations on businesses, by reducing our corporation tax rate from 40 % to 20 % and by lowering the cost of doing business in America, we're going to ensure massive job creation for all Americans. What Senator Warren and Senator Sanders don't understand is that 70 % of the jobs are created in small businesses and that's why we have reduce small businesses' fiscal burden make sure they will reinforce their competitiveness and their ability to create jobs. And yet both Senator Warren and Senator Sanders are supporting Dodd-Frank that made big banks bigger because the government made them big by imposing thousands of pages of regulations. Unlike small banks, big banks are able to deal with all these regulations because they have an army of lawyers and compliance officers, thus making big banks bigger while small banks are struggling to lend or to exist. Dodd-Frank is also eviscerating small businesses and small banks since it wiped out 40 % of small and mid-size banks that loan money to small businesses, which bankrupted small businesses, killed tens of thousands of jobs and drastically raised the unemployment rate. So Warren is supporting a policy that puts the special interests of Wall Street individuals ahead of the needs of America's middle class and hard working families. That's why Dodd-Frank must be repealed in order to help smaller banks to recover and to get small businesses growing again to create jobs and hire people.

What we need to do to reduce the deficit is to create as many jobs as possible, because the more jobs we create, the more our economy works, the more we can raise the wages and the more we will be able to reduce the deficit. And the reason why the deficit increased in the last couple of years is because President Obama took on the American people's purchasing power, thus making our economy less dynamic and weakening the middle-class. Because if more people work in a growing economy, they're paying taxes, which will help us reducing the deficit. We also have to reduce spending and taxes if we want to make the middle-class stronger because a stronger middle-class is one of the main tools for a stronger economy. We have the duty to put the deficit under control. Otherwise, those burdens will be passed on to our children (including my four children), to our great children and to the next generations. They're going to be paying the interest and the principal all their lives. That won't happen if I'm President of the United States.

SANDERS:We plan to introduce the Buffett Rule on a national and legal scale. The Rule is this: No billionaire or millionaire should be paying less in taxes than their secretary. I plan to introduce this as a law.

I plan to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans to 50%. This is lower than the rate under a Republican, President Dwight Eisenhower, and will let us fund our eduaction, infrastructure and healthcare plans. I plan to raise taxes beyond that for wealthy who hide their money in offshore tax havens.

WARREN:I will push for closing corporate tax loopholes and personal income tax loopholes. I will also push for heavy fines for corporations who relocate overseas, as well as heavy tax increases on the top five percent of Americans.

PAUL:Honestly, there is no such thing as "he should pay more taxes so we can give it to the poor", this is theft just like taxation in general, by doing this we are stealing money from who made it legally to give to someone else, this isn't the job of the government! And we all know that the government is good doing this type of thing, the government fails to do basic things, it isn't good to rely on it to redistribute wealth. The government is not Robin Hood! I will not seek to steal money from those who made it legally to give to other people.

The reality is that the richest people already pay their fair share by creating jobs trough their companies and business, and to make them continue to pay this fair share we need to decrease taxes, my plan is to abolish the IRS, abolish the income tax and leave the other taxes as low as we can leave them.

Follow up to Senator Warren and Sander: you are both proposing major social investments and programs. How will your plans be covered and paid for and is higher taxes the only answer?

SANDERS:
No, it is not the only answer. We can cut our military spending and subsidies to big oil and big pharma, two industries that are scamming us out of illions of dollars every year. We need to break up the big banks to ensure that they don't control the national economy. We need to do all this, and more.

WARREN: . I do propose to pay for my social investments and programs by taxing the rich heavily, but there's no reason that the poor and middle class should see a tax increase.

What qualities will you look for in a Supreme Court Justice?
RUBIO: Well first of all, Beth, I wholeheartedly do respect our peoples' rights as well as our people's constitutional rights. Barack Obama is unable to defend the American people who wants to defend their values, which is why they contributed to our majority in the Congress in order to give us the mandate to secure America's freedom and values. If Merrick Garland is confirmed at the Supreme Court, we'll see the death of several unborn babies who, in this case, will not earn the right and the chance to live. We'll see a violation of the Second Amendment and of religious freedom. And Guantanamo terrorists will be awarded with constitutional rights. We can't let that happen.

Guantanamo terrorists are not U.S. citizens and they committed terrorist attacks the United States and our allies, killing tens of thousands of people around the world. When it comes to abortion, we don't settle a disaster through another disaster that kills an unborn baby. We can promote adoptions instead, which will give these children the right to live and to be loved and allow parents who don't want to have child not to have it without killing him. When it comes to gun rights, stricter gun control won't change anything since criminals and terrorists are taking guns in the black market and can still kill people with any other type of weapons like axes, knives or trucks like we saw last summer in Nice, France. So I will allow my Attorney General to delay the transfer of firearms to suspected criminals and terrorists, which will prevent massacres and terrorist attacks on our national territory without violating the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense, a policy that Senator Warren as well as the Democrats in the Senate are opposing. And even last summer, after the Orlando nightclub shooting in my home state of Florida, which was the deadliest terrorist attack in the United States since 9/11, Senator Warren and her colleagues in the Senate voted against allowing the Attorney General to block the transfer of firearms to suspected criminals and suspected terrorists like Omar Mateen who was under FBI investigation, who had links to terrorist groups like Al Qaeda and who joined Hezbollah 3 years before this attack. The responsible of this attack was radical Islamic terrorism but unfortunately Senator Warren will not mention this threat by its name.

So for me, the criteria for my nominee to replace Antonin Scalia is absolutely clear. It will be a constitutional conservative who will wholeheartedly defend all the values that make America great : free enterprise, the right to self-defense through the protection of the Second Amendment, promotion of life, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of press and national security.

WARREN:Some have called on me to renominate Merrick Garland should I win, but I'd prefer to make my own choice. My shortlist includes Jacqueline Nugyen, Denny Chin, John Owens, Donald Verrelli, Amy Klobuchar, Eric Schneiderman and Andrew Cuomo.

SANDERS:A Justice that would overturn Citizens United and would protect Roe v Wade and Obergefell v Hodges, as well as one who would not be afraid to dirty themselves in cases that involve angry major bankers and industry heads. I am also searching for ones who take a dim view of Taft-Harley and would not block any attempt to overturn it. I would hope to appoint a similar Justice to Ruth Bader-Ginsburg

PAUL: I'll be seeking to appoint someone who is a constitutionalist, I want someone who will be there judging and defending the constitution, someone who will defend the freedom it gives to us, this means that I want someone who will defend our right to keep and bear arms, someone who will defend our free speech, our privacy, and who overall, will seek to judge the constitution and defend it just like our founding fathers did, with the idea that without it, our freedom and liberty will be under risk.

Good evening. My question to all of you is, regardless of the current rhetoric, would either of you name one positive thing that you respect in one another?

SANDERS:Of course. Senator Warren has been leading the fight against corrupt bankers and industry heads for years. Senator Rubio has been one of the leaders on immigration reform, and Dr. Paul has led our fight against wasteful military spending and pointless foreign intervention.

WARREN: I certainly respect Senator Sanders's respect for his Causes. I certainly respect Senator Rubio's dedication on his foreign policy beliefs, even though he is completely wrong, and I certainly respect Congressman Paul's ideals, even if they are totally misguided.

RUBIO:Well of course I will because that's a fair and important question because despite our differences, we are all Americans and that's why our country is called the United States of America.

Despite our political differences, despite the fact that I disagree with his judgement in many cases, I have admiration for Senator Sanders' reputation as a fighter. He doesn't quit. He doesn't give up. I respect that. The moreover that he led civil rights protests, including a demonstration against segregation in Chicago's public schools.

Even though we disagree on a lot of issues, I respect Congressman Paul for his cause for free market and I'm proud of his military service to our country in the U.S. Air Force and in the U.S. Air National Guard.

Despite our disagreements on how to make this economy fair and working for all Americans, I have respect for Senator Warren's commitment to defend America's land as the land of opportunity, which is an engagement that I'm sharing. And I respect her commitment to improve women's living conditions which is also something I committed to do.

We are a nation composed of several different elements. But we also need to understand that we have to stand for all the values that holds us together as a united nation : freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of religion and opportunity because we are one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all

PAUL:There are many things I respect on my opponents, there is something that I really admire about Rubio that is he's fight that started when he was a child and lived paycheck to paycheck and continued trough he's life, and the way he passed trough all of this and is here in this debate today, to me has one name, that is determination, and I respect this a lot on him. Sanders is someone who fights for what he believes and this to me is a great quality in my opinion, and finally Warren I think she is an women who is very intelligent and who also, just like Rubio, is a determined person

Instant Reaction: Who Won the Town Hall Presidential Debate?

Warren: 29%
Rubio: 24%
Paul: 20%
Sanders: 17%
Undecided: 10%
