President Paul Ryan runs for reelection after defeating Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Ryan wins the GOP presidential renomination. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Warren wins the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. This is a ideological showdown between conservatism and liberalism. Who wins? Discuss with maps.

Did he become President by assassination of Trump and Pence, impeachment of the two, or was he elected in 2016?

He was elected in 2016 by defeating Hillary Clinton in a landslide.

Everything depends on how well the economy is doing.

Economy in very good shape: Ryan wins in a landslide, his ideology being viewed as a brilliant new paradigm like that of Reagan.
Economy in same shape as 2016: Warren barely wins, her rhetoric being seen by disaffected voters as more promising for them than Ryan's policies.
Economy in worse shape: Warren wins in a landslide, with Ryan being seen as an idiotic extremist.

Warren has the working class appeal while Ryan is seen as the ultimate insider. Being anti-establishment against HRC is not the same as being anti establishment against Warren.

Warren- 280 EC

Ryan- 258 EC
